"So what do we do?" Jack looked between the two of them before turning to see Pitch come in the door. He let the shadow sense him starting before the older male looked at him. The bright yellow met bright blue as a silent conversation went through them.

Tooth watched as Jack tilted his head towards her brother before Pitch looked between the two broken boys. A nod was shared between the two of them before Pitch walked right back out the door with a kiss to Emily's cheek.

"What the hell was that?" Jack looked down at her with his signature sly smirk before walking away. She knew then Pitch and Jack were about to solve everything.

The Next Day

Denver rushed into the cave that the nightmare brought him to that gave him the message something happened to Callahan. His heart had to be about to break out of his chest from beating so hard. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if something happened to him.

He wasn't oblivious. He had seen the hole Callahan was digging himself into. He had tried to help him but all he got was lashed out on. He let it happen though. He remembered the pain like it was yesterday but really it was two weeks ago.

Denver had been following Callahan for the past hour before the fairy confronted him. He held his breath as the bright violet eyes narrowed on him as they stood on the Eiffel Tower. The lights of Paris shinned on the the fairies wings. He waited. He held his breath as Callahan finally spoke.

"Why are you following me?" Denver twisted the charm from so long ago between his fingers before he met his eyes again.

"I wanted to make sure you were okay." Callahan felt his wings tense at his back. Was he okay? How could he be okay with Denver playing the back and forth games? He took a deep breath so he wouldn't explode. He knew he had been falling behind lately but he didn't need anyone to talk to him about it. He would find Jack after all of the boy's problems went down.

"Why? Why do you think you have the right anymore?" Denver chewed on his nail before he took in a breath. He looked into the fairies eyes before risking all the rest of the calm energy between them.

"I have the right because I'm still here for you, Cal. I still want to be here." Callahan shook his head before letting his wings spread out. He didn't even know why he stopped.

"I'm leaving. I don't want you anymore, Denver. Leave me alone. After all, it's what you're best at." Callahan ignored the flinch that came from Denver's body. He turned to fly away at his fastest speed.

"I love you." He froze as the words were spoke quietly behind him. He slowly turned to meet the gold eyes of the sand boy in front of him. He slowly clenched his fist before holding back the tears. Screw being calm.

"Oh really? You love me?" Denver swallowed, there was a fire in Callahan's eyes that made him look to the ground below. He loved those violet eyes but right now, they were violent. He shifted on his feet before Callahan shoved him against the railing of the tower. He slowly looked up at him as the fairy yelled in his face as he was held there.

Denver took it. He took Callahan's anger. He'd take the anger if it meant taking anything from the fairy. He let the fairy yell at him as he looked at the floor. He would take anything from him if it meant he could just hear his voice speak to him again, for him to let things out...

He came to a stop in the small cave when he saw Callahan standing there, looking just as frantic as he felt. The fairy rushed to him before he put a hand out like he was going to touch him but stopped.
