Two Weeks Later
You're at the Hospital in Miguel's room, and watching the news. You also had to see your doctor for a check-up on your injuries. You're wearing a brace on your right hand, to help heal your three fractured fingers.
Reporter: It was two weeks ago today at West Valley High, where what can only be described as an all-out karate riot caught students and faculty off-guard, sending shock waves through the Valley.
The news cuts to a woman being interviewed on the street.
Girl: We got enough to worry about. Now we got karate gangs in schools?
It cuts again, to a man on the street.
Guy: There was a karate attack at the mall a couple of months back. I thought karate died out in the '80s.
Reporter: Earlier today, students organized a peaceful gathering. Tonight, West Valley High is holding a community meeting to answer questions and help settle fears. Police are still looking for Robby Keene, who ran away after kicking fellow student Miguel Diaz off a second-floor balcony, landing right here on this staircase. Keene has since been expelled. Diaz, meanwhile, remains in a coma at West Valley General. His prognosis...
The TV turns off.
You turn around and see Miguel's mom.
Y/N: I'm sorry for watching that, Ms. Diaz.
Carmen: It's okay. And please, call me Carmen. I know Miguel is your friend and you care for him, which I appreciate. But, you should get rest for school tomorrow.
Y/N: Alright, thanks for letting me be in here whenever I want by the way. Please contact me when he wakes up.
Carmen: Of course.
The Next Day, at School
Once you got to the school, you saw an advance in the security for the building. There are a bunch more security guards and they have handheld metal detectors to inspect everyone and their backpacks for any weapons.
You hold out your arms so they can check you with the metal detector, as another looks into your backpack.
Security: You're good.
You put your bag back on after the other security guard gave it to you.
Security: Next!
You then make your way over to Eli and Mitch, they're just to the side of the front entrance.
Y/N: What's up?
You go to dap them up with your right hand, but because of the brace, you swap to your left.
Mitch: Hey.
Eli: So, how are those fingers of yours?
Y/N: Doctor said two-three more weeks and I should be out of it.
Eli: Good.
Y/N: I can't fight though.
Eli: Damn, that sucks.
Mitch: I guess in the meantime, I'm a better fighter than you.
You and Eli laugh.
Y/N: Oh, no you're not. I'd still kick your ass, Assface.
You three then see Bert coming up to you.
Y/N: Oh! Look who it is. The big guy's here.
Bert: Hey, guys.
Eli: There's the man.
Mitch: How's it going?
He daps up Eli, then fist bumps Mitch and you.
Eli: Alright, this is the year. Day one, round two. Let's get it, boys.
Mitch: Ooh! Freshman babes, eleven o'clock.
You see three girls walking into the school. Eli then stops them.
Eli: Hey, ladies. I know freshman year can be scary. Any trouble, just come to me. I'm the guy—
Girl: Who wets the bed and got kicked into that trophy case?
He looks worried.
Girl: Yeah, we know.
The three walk off, as Bert and Mitch start chuckling
Mitch: Oh shit!
Eli looks at them and makes a fist to show them that you don't mess with him. They stop.
You four see Demetri, Chris, and Nate walking around the corner. The three freshmen girls walk past them.
Girl: Hey, Demetri.
The three Miyagi-Do's looks back at her, as the four of you Cobra's walk towards them.
Demetri: Someone knows who I am. A human female.
Chris: You famous now, 'Met.
They turn back around, Mitch is standing in front of Chris, Bert's before Nate, Eli is in front of Demetri, and you're standing in between them, but to the side.
Mitch: Got something to say?
Mitch waves his hand in front of his face, much like John Cena.
Chris: Yeah. Check out my new Lit book.
Chris raises a hard-covered textbook.
Chris: It's a lot of hard-hitting shit in here. You know what I mean?
Eli: Well the security isn't enough to protect your scrawny ass.
Demetri: I don't need security.
Counselor Blatt walks up to the seven of you.
Counselor Blatt: Everything alright here?
Demetri: Oh.
Demetri pats Eli's shoulder and walks in between him and Mitch.
Demetri: We're all buddies here.
He then wraps his arms around them.
Demetri: Isn't that right, fellas?
Eli: Yeah.
Eli hits his chest.
Counselor Blatt: Don't you all have somewhere to be?
Bert: Yes, Counselor Blatt.
You look at the three Cobra's.
Y/N: We should get out of here.
Mitch tosses Demetri's arm off of him and the four of you break away from the three Miyagi-Do's and Counselor Blatt, then start walking to your classes.
Eli: We have to get our hands on them for what they did to Miguel.
Y/N: I don't—
You then see Nicole waiting outside of her first class.
Y/N: I gotta go. See you guys at lunch.
Eli: Yep.
Bert: Seeya.
You go up to her and she hugs you.
Nicole: Hey.
Y/N: Hey.
Nicole: Are you okay, you know, being back here?
Y/N: Yeah. I'll be fine.
She looks at your right hand.
Nicole: Now, are you physically okay?
Y/N: Yes. I've told you that a million times. I'll be out of the brace in about two weeks. Can we try going on this mysterious date this weekend?
Nicole immediately smiles.
Y/N: Assuming my right hand doesn't need to be one hundred percent?
Nicole: It doesn't.
Y/N: Alright, pick me up at five.
Nicole: On Saturday.
Y/N: Right. I have to go to class.
Nicole: Alright.
You kiss her and walk to your class.
