Kicked out (Drew x Jake) (Angst+Fluff)

Hailey nodded as I went into the kitchen of Milly's house, phone in hand. I hit the accept call button, putting the phone up to me ear

"Hey Drew. What's up?"

I could hear sniffling on the other end, the faint sound of crickets chirping in the background.

"Drew..?" Are you okay..?"

"No..." he responded. "Um... I'm in a bit of a situation, to say the least..."

"What's up..?" I asked as I sat down. I had a feeling this wasn't gonna be a quick call

"Well...um....I-I can explain more later but....t-to put it short, my parents kind of...kicked me out..."

"WHAT?!"

I covered my mouth fast, realizing how loud my voice got.

"Jake?" I heard Daisy call from the other room. "Is everything alright in there..?"

"U-Uh, yeah Daisy! I'm fine! Don't worry?"

"Daisy's there with you..?" I heard Drew ask. I could hear slight hurt in his voice. "D-Drew, I promise it's not like that!" I said quickly. Please don't let him think I'm cheating on him..

"It's not just Daisy who's here, okay..?" I said. "The music club's here too.."

"Alright.." he said. I could tell he was doubting me, so I switched the call from audio to face time and walked into the living room

"I switched the camera to out facing so Drew could see the others playing the racing game

"Luke, Milly keeps hitting me with turtle shells!!" Zander screeched. "Oh no! Not Zander's precious high score!" Milly giggled. "Hush, you." Zander snarled. Hailey looked over at me. "Jake, why are you pointing your phone at us?" Hailey asked. "I'll explain later" I said, nervously smiling and rubbing the back of my neck

I went back to the kitchen, having the camera face me again. "Alright, alright, I believe you.." Drew sighed. "Who's house are you at right now?"

"Milly's, why?"

No one's POV

Drew looked down, worrying about the possible answers that would come from what he was about to ask. But he didn't know who else to turn to...

"Well I...k-kind of need a....place I can stay...."

Jake's POV

I was a bit in shock from hearing this. After I thought about it for a minute. Judging from how Drew was outside, he needed a place to stay now...I don't really wanna bail on my friends, but I'm was gonna have to....

"Okay, uh...I can...come get you..."

"Okay, thanks..."

With that, Drew hung up and I went into the other room.

"About time, you slow ass" Zander sighed. "Is something wrong, Jake?" Hailey asked. I sighed and nodded. "Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to head home for the night..."

"Aww, what?" Milly said

"You're leaving us for Drew?!" Zander added on to that. "I don't want to..." I said as I put my jacket on. "But something happened with his parents and he just needs help right now..."

Everyone looked at each other in confusion. "Is..he okay..?" Daisy asked concerned

"I'm not really all that sure..." I said, picking up my bag. "I'll catch you guys later...a-and I'll explain everything soon..."

With that I quickly pulled my sneakers on, bag still over my arm, and ran out the door

I'd never gone from Milly's house to Drew's, or even to my own. So I just asked Drew to meet me in the park. I got there before him and looked around, standing under a park light. It's pretty windy out tonight
