Moment Alone

Everyone was in the Medjack hut, surrounding Alby who was on a bed, shivering and writhing in pain.

"We don't even know what this stuff is." Newt says, looking at the vile's. "For all we know, this could kill him."

"He's already dying, Newt." Y/n said to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"How could this possibly make it any worse?" Thomas added. Newt stared at Alby, one of the people he trusted most in this world, on his death bed...

"Alright. Do it." Newt said, passing the syringe to Y/n, since she's the other person he trusts. Y/n took it and she leaned over Alby,

"Okay..." She breathed. But before she could do anything, Alby sprung to life and grabbed her, making her scream and struggle.

"Y/n!" Thomas yelled and tried to pry her off Alby.

"Your not supposed to be here... you shouldn't be here!!" Alby growled in her face, making her think back to Ben. With the help of the others they pinned him down,

"Get the syringe!!" Minho shouted and Teresa plunged it into Alby's chest, making him immediately relax. Thomas had a tight grip on Y/n,

"Are you alright?" He asked her. Y/n nodded, her hair all over her face,

"Yeah, yeah I'm okay." She leant into him breathing hard.

"Well, that worked." Jeff said.

"Okay, from now on, someone stays here and watches him around the clock." Newt demanded. Everyone agreed without saying anything.

"Hey." They all heard Gally come in "Sundown, Greenie. Time to go."

Thomas looked at Y/n, not caring who watched, and kissed her softly.

"I don't care what Gally says, I'll come and see you." Y/n whispered, making Thomas smile and kiss her forehead. Then he left. Y/n looked back at everyone and saw that everyone was staring at her, either wide eyed or with a huge smirk,

"Hehe... yeah."

Later that night, Chuck went to go visit Thomas in the pit.

"Here. You'll run better on a full stomach." The boy said, handing him some food through the holes in the door. Thomas immediately stared eating it,

"Thanks Chuck." He said, then saw him holding something. "What you got there?" Chuck reached inside and showed it to him, it was a small wood carving of a person.

"It's from my parents." He said and Thomas's eyes widened,

"You remember your parents?"

"No... well, I mean, I must have them... and wherever they are they must miss me... but I can't miss them because I don't remember them." Chuck continued sadly. "What do you think they're going to find out there?"

"Uh... I don't know. Hey, but we'll figure it out, me, Y/n and Minho, we're gonna find it." Thomas reassured. Then Chuck smiled,

"A little birdie told me that Y/n and you are a thing." Thomas laughed,

"Who was that birdie I wonder." He said. "But yeah, it's true. From the minute I saw her... I knew she was the one."

"Well, now that Teresa is here, you gotta be careful." Chuck warned.

"How do you mean?"

"Well, now there's another girl, she's gonna be getting jealous if you spend too much time with her." The boy explained.

"No, Y/n's not like that." Thomas said.

"I don't know, man. After what she said to Gally, who knows." He joked making Thomas laugh.
