I stopped, noticing suddenly a shimmering at the bottom of the glassy, pristine pools. I remained perched and staring at the now sparkling water.
The last waving rays of sunlight had bounced through a crack in the cave wall and reflected on something at the bottom of the sandy floors below. "It's all silver!" I gasped, as realization hit me like a shooting star. I stared down in wonder, and then looking up, I found an incredible sight. Dancing, reflective light shining about the dim cave.
I recognized constellations, and star formations almost immediately. The whole sight was simply breathtaking! Staring up at a miniature replica of the night sky was so awe-inspiring.
It was magnificent.
