Chapter 27: Acantha

"Yes!" Amora answers Paxon for me.

Avoiding eye contact with Erik, I scoot towards the wall of the jet to sit. Crossing my legs, I look up at Amora in the seat next to me.

"How could we walk into the Rebellion Headquarters after we stole a boat, supplies, and broke out a criminal from their prison?" I use quotation marks when I say criminal.

"You guys did what?" Aella asks, looking at Erik, Amora, and me. It makes me question if she knows exactly what happened to Erik after we left. Does she know he is the one that is the criminal in this scenario?

"I have a connection," Amora says.

"Who in the stars is that?" Rawr joins the conversation.

"Bellona," Amora answers him smugly.

I feel more confused. I look at Erik and Aella and know I am not the only one. Rawr on the other hand looks flabbergasted.

"How?" is all he manages to say.

"What is Bellona's last name?" Galen says weakly, wiping his mouth on his sleeve.

"I have another question for you, who is Bellona?" I ask as Rawr begins to think hard.

"Tram!" Paxon shouts at the front of the jet. "Bellona Tram!"

"Wait! Are you not Amora Tram?" Rawr asks.

"Yes!" Galen answers for her. "It is her grandmother."

Rawrs mouth drops open.

"Can someone please explain to me who Bellona is?" I demand.

"There are five leaders of the rebellion," Rawr holds up five fingers. "Donavan, who is the founder, Kali who oversees everything in the Air Realm, Bellona in the Fire Realm, and also Amora's grandmother, Helmer over in the Earth Realm and also Captain Cassius Orman's father."

I frown at the thought of Caz, Cassius, or Captain Orman. Whatever he is called. I boil with anger from him. It seems the only reason he has his rank is that he is a rebellion royalty.

"And finally, drum roll please," Rawr says. He drums his hands on his thighs.

"Her Highness, Kaiserin Lumi Neve Snjór of the Ice Realm!" He then exclaims.

"The Kaiserin is part of the rebellion!"Aella speaks up. Erik crosses his arms sinking into deep thought, rubbing his thumb over his knuckles in circles.

Maybe he is surprised that Kaiserin is part of the rebellion? I recall Aella talking about how she has met the royal family in the Ice Realm. Maybe Erik did not ever suspect her doing something that big without him realizing it.

"She is actually responsible for many of our resources," Amora answers Aella proudly. "When she was still a princess, she would often give us messages and even helped the rebellion have a hideout there."

"Are there spies in the Airling court?" Erik looks up at Amora anxiously.

"Are you scared or something, your highness?" Rawr responds. When he addresses Erik, there is no form of respect. He spits your highness out full of bitterness and sarcasm.

"No!" Erik says and turns back to Amora. He does not want to fight, he just wants answers.

"Yes, there are, and have been for years." Amora answers. Erik nods his head and goes quiet again.

The flight begins to get bumpier. Before Erik can have the satisfaction of watching me fall again, I get up and sit down next to Paxon.

The journey seems to take forever. I try to sleep, but all I can think about is what awaits us in Lazuli. Then I begin to think about Valence. I remember the boat was headed to the Ice Realm. Does that mean he will be there? What will I even say to him?
