When Jack woke up he found himself in a room. He was initially shocked to find himself there, but slowly remembered how he got there. He remembered going after Miko, fighting the M.E.C.H soldiers, Tailgate leaving him behind, and finally getting captured by M.E.C.H. He remembered that he was shot with something, while Airachnid held him and he fell unconscious after that. At the present time, he was lying on something. He tried to move but found something restraining him. He noticed he was lying on a berth. His hands, legs and body were restrained with what seemed to be leather straps. He tried to slip his hands out of the restraints, but his actions bore no fruit. Jack looked around. The walls of the room were painted in greenish grey colour. There were some LED lights on the ceiling, which were dimly lit. The light coming from them wasn't enough to makeout all the details of the room. He was wearing the same long sleeved t-shirt and blue jeans.

Jack went back to try to free himself. After a while of struggling, he was startled by a sudden mechanical noise. He looked towards where the noise came from and found a gateway on the left side of the wall in front of him. The light coming from the gateway helped him realise that the wall in front of him had another big mechanical gate. A Cybertronian the size of Arcee can walk through it without any problem. His attention was diverted towards the smaller gateway when he heard someone entering the room. It was Silas, along with two of his men. Silas was holding what seemed to be a file in his hands.

"Mr. Darby! It's good to see you awake." Silas said.

"Silas….. What do you want?" Jack growled.

"Right at the point? I like people who are like this. So professional…. I just want to make a deal with you."

"And what would that be?"

"Simple. The location of your Autobot friends in exchange for your freedom and a possible alliance between you and me." Silas offered.

Jack scoffed at that. "I ain't telling you anything. No matter what you offer or do." Jack told him.

Silas chuckled at that. "I was expecting you to say that." He said,"You are rather interesting person Mr. Darby." Silas came closer to him.

"Thanks for the compliment." Jack sarcastically said. Silas's smile just widened at that.

"You have a lot of potential hidden inside you Mr. Darby. Managed to take out two of my men all by yourself. The later one had a dislocated arm, bruised ribs, and had lost two of his teeth. Gunned down some others. You did all that while keeping your human friends safe. You would make a fine soldier Mr. Darby. You have qualities of one." Silas said.

"Jee, thanks." Jack scoffed.

"I've done some digging on you and gotta say, you've got quite a history." This statement got a reaction out of Jack. He looked at Silas as he continued "Your father, Jason Darby, left you at the age of 8."

Jack's face darkened at the mention of his father. Silas noticed this and continued,"From what we realised by viewing the scars on your body, he probably wasn't a decent father. The scars on your arms reveal that you aren't as stable as you show…."

"You saw my scars!?" Jack asked, shocked.

"Well, I had to make sure you didn't have any trackers implemented on you."

"You are wasting your time Silas. I don't know what games you are playing but it won't work. You won't get anything out of me." Jack said emotionlessly.

"Such a calm demeanour. I wonder what makes you feel so brave, to think that no harm will be done to you." Silas said as he looked at his captives face.

To his disappointment he saw no fear in the teens eyes. Silas immediately knew it wouldn't be easy to get a word out of Jack's mouth. But he was ready to take the extreme measures if needed.

"Why should I be afraid? It will be only a matter of time before Autobots find me and rescue me from here." Jack said.

"Hah! They left you behind Mr. Darby. They abandoned you. What makes you think they will make any efforts to rescue you?" Silas said in a mocking tone.

"The Autobots didn't leave me there. Tailgate did. I am pretty sure the rest of the bots aren't gonna stay quiet about it. So if I were you, I would be trying to sort out my will since Arcee would be glad to have a moment with you."

"Then you've left me with no choice Mr. Darby. I tried to be reasonable but since that didn't work, I would have to aply a bit of force." Silas coldly said and proceed to leave the room, leaving Jack with two of his soldiers.

"Make sure not to do something to critical boys. Mr. Darby is rather valuable to us." Silas said as he went out. The doors closed behind him.

The two soldiers glanced at each other  and then looked at him. They released him from his restraints and threw him on the floor. Jack got back up on his feet and glanced at the two men standing in front of him.

"Finally I get to teach you a lesson. I will show you what happens when you hit me in the head." One of them said,

"That brat dislocated my arm too. I would like to get him back for that." The other one said.

With that, the two soldiers charged at him. Jack tried to put up a fight, and tried to defeat his tormentors. But he wasn't much of a match for the highly skilled and experienced soldiers. He could only endure as the two men beat him up. By the time they were done Jack had bruises all over his body, his left arm was dislocated and had a nightmarish ache in his ribs. Jack coughed up some blood as his tormentors left the room, leaving him lying on the floor. He was starting to lose his consciousness.

"The Autobots will find me…… Arcee will save me…" Jack thought before he was engulfed in darkness.
