This Chapter is dedicated to all the Sickle cell warriors I know and especially the warrior I didn't get the choice to say goodbye to, I will forever remember your kindness. I pray you warriors will live in and achieve your dreams. I have seen people do that and with God by your side You will too.

" Hey Wura. What's up" I heard Tife say, my head was buried deep inside my Accounting textbook. Honestly, reading isn't my forte. I looked up and smiled at him. I haven't seen him since He resumed and we didn't really chat that much. It was better that way so I didn't push.

" Tife" I said in a quiet voice, we were in an fairly empty classroom but I didn't want to talk loud.

" How're you doing. I was passing by and just saw someone that looked like you and I was like isn't this Wura. I came closer to peep through the window but you didn't notice me because you were so serious the textbook you are reading. You and this your first class spirit" Tife said and I laughed after he finished his story.

" Which first class spirit. I'm struggling to understand what I'm reading here" I said amidst laughter

" Accounting right?" He asked flipping the textbook to see the cover page

" Keep reading. You signed up for it" He said with a goofy smile

" Tife, that's not nice of you" I said

" What's not nice in what I just said" He answered

" You can't even drop a motivational speech or quote instead you are smiling at my pain" I replied and he laughed

" I just reminded you of what you filled on your Jamb form. If it was that you filed Economics I could have done that but instead you filled in for Accounting, A course that we both dislike each other" He responded and I laughed

" I'm very sure you had A's in your first year Accounting courses and wait, You still have time to lazy around right?. Don't you have your final year project to write" I said jokingly. He frowned

" Way to kill my fun, Wura" He replied still frowning and I laughed

" Sorry. I wanted to exert my revenge, I'm just joking" I said smiling

" You just reminded me of that damn project" He said and I looked at him pointedly

" Oh sorry Mummy G.O" He responded and I smacked his arm playfully

" Your slap was so painful" He said rubbing the spot where I hit

" I hope you have learnt your lesson" I responded

" I haven't really had time for my project. I have been trying to meet up with what I missed when I was absent from school" He said coming to sit directly beside me. He was standing all through the moment we were talking earlier.

" Sorry. I'm sorry about your Cousin" I said and He smiled a little.

" You have said that already, several times" He responded

" I know but I haven't said it in person" I answered, He smiled wider

" Thank you" He said

" Honestly, I don't know if I'm suppose to think this way but I sometimes blame her parents" He said and looked at me with a poignant look.

" Why" I answered quietly

" She was a sickle cell patient and died through one of her crises. She had no fault, it was a sickness brought upon her by birth. Her parents knew their genotypes and knew how medically incompatible they were and yet they got married because they loved each other naively believing a miracle will happen. Placing their daughter into a life of pain, I don't understand how that is love" Tife said with a pained expression
