Batuk brought Bondita to her room and laid her down on the bed. Adjusting the pillow below her head and tucked her in blanket.
He started patting her cheeks to wake her up.

Realising she is not responding to his calls. He decided to sprinkle some water on her face. He looked here and there but there was no water kept in her room.
Batuk decided to go himself to get water because he knew all must very busy in welcoming ceremony of the "newly wedded couple ".
He took Bondita's hand in his and said
Main abhi aaya ha Mishti...... Tumhare Chhote Zamindar yu gaye aur yu aaye....
As if assuring her..... He carresed her cheeks and went to fetch water.
He literally ran down the stairs and straightaway went in the kitchen. He took a glass of water and was about to go when Kaka's voice stopped him in his tracks.

Ab yaad aaya aapko Kaka ke Mishti aapke Bahu hai........
Mujhe toh laga ke Barrister babu ke tarah sab yaha bhul gaye hai.... Ke woh iss ghar ka hissa hai.
Batuk's voice raged in haveli making everyone flinch at the spot.
Sampoorana who got irked by Batuk's behaviour said
Batuk itne khushi ke mauke par tumhe apne parivaar ke saath shamil hona chahiye.
Apne nayi Boudhi ka swagat karna.......

Sampoorana's next words got caught in her throat by Batuk's loud yell.

Sampoorana felt humiliated hearing Batuk's word. Whereas Binoy got angered.......
Binoy : Batuk ye koi tareka hai aapne Maa se baat karne ka..... Yaad rahe Batuk. Sampoorana mere patni hai.... Aur uske khilaf main kuch nahi sununga.........
Batuk : Toh aap bhi ek baat ache se sun lejeye aur samajh lijeye Baba aur apni patni ko bhi samjha dijiye ga.....
Ke main Mishti ke khilaf ek shabd nahi sununga.......
Kyunki bhale he aap sab bhul gaye ho ke Bondita nai iss ghar ke liye.... Iss ghar ke logon ke liye.... Iss parivaar ke liye kya kya kiya hai.
Par main aap sab ke tarah ehsaan faramosh nahi ho aur na he bewafa ho ke aapne matlab ke hisaab se rishte badal sako.......
