"Sorry son, but this day is to get away from the crazy. So whatever drama is happening in the house currently and you." Felix said hugging him.
"Gasp!" Camilo said, pretending to be offended.
"We'll get 3 cups of coffee, a banana muffin, a pineapple cake, and avocado toast with lime sauce." I told Camilo, mesmerizing everyone's orders.
"Alright. Now go take a seat, you old men might break a hip!" Camilo said leaving to go to the kitchen.
"Ay, Camilo will be the death of me one day. The amount of energy he drains from me." Felix said shaking his head.
"Yes, at least now we know how he gets all that energy! By reaping it from everyone around!" I joked.
"So, that's why he doesn't need much sleep. He takes it from others. Good to know." Bruno said.
"Oh! You guys talking about me? It's fine, I know I'm amazing! You can continue." Camilo said placing our food and coffee down. "Let me guess, the Banana muffin for Tio Agustin. The pineapple cake for Papa. And that leaves the avocado toast with lime sauce for Tio Bruno." he said.
"He's good." Bruno said as we nodded.
"We always try to trip him up when he comes but he always gets it right. Once I said Isabela's order. She said Dolores's order. Dolores said my order. And Felix said Julieta's order, she said Mirabel's, Mirabel said Pepa's, Pepa said Luisa, and Luisa said Felix's order. And Antonio said his. He still knew which one was which even though we said them as if they were ours. He knows our food preferences too well." I said.
"Wow. Felix, no offense but your kid has too much time on his hands." Bruno said.
"I know. I once told him to be more like Dolores and he spent the next month being Dolores. We couldn't tell who was who because he was pretending to be Dolores." Felix said sighing.
"He's even picked up on our hobbies too. He can pretend to be anyone and we wouldn't know. He could literally steal our identities." I said.
"But I won't steal your identities because your life's boring." Camilo said popping out of nowhere with some mango cake. He then took a seat and began eating with us.
"Camilo you can't just invite yourself over." Felix said.
"But I heard you guys gossiping and I wanted to join!"
"No."
"Boo." and with that he left.
"Things have been better sense the whole crack problem. Luisa is so much better now!" I said happily.
"Poor girl. We used to overwork her. She'd only be home when we needed her, to eat, or sleep. It's good that it doesn't happen anymore but we had put too much pressure on her." Felix said.
"Yeah. When everyone was singing that song about me she was crying. It was painful to see."
"I tried to comfort her, but I didn't know what to say. I'm just glad she can relax more now." I said shaking my head. "It hurts seeing how our family was suffering and we didn't do anything to help. We all looked at Isabela as if she was a perfect picture I never thought that she was suffering because of it."
"When I looked into the future I saw a happy Isabela dancing amongst a whole bunch of different plants. Colors everywhere. The life we can give her now, that's the life she wants." Bruno said.
"We were so ready to have her marry Mariano we never asked her how she felt about him. We never asked her how she felt about anything. The same with Dolores too. She hears everything but was always treated like someone who you could get information from. It was painful but I was too blinded by the magic to see clearly. I didn't even notice her feelings for Mariano." Felix said looking down.
"And Mirabel..." Bruno said as we all shook our heads.
"We never gave her a fair chance. She saved us and in some way, I feel as if we don't deserve it." Felix said.
"I knew something was wrong but I never knew how to help. I thought I was, but I didn't really understand how she felt. And lots of that pain didn't come from not having powers, it came from how the family treated her because she didn't have powers." I said.
"She's a strong girl. Real special."
"All right! You old men are ruining the mood. Go out! Have fun! Stop being so sad and don't break your backs!" Camilo said pushing us out of the cafe.
"Well, where to now?" Bruno asked.
"Well, we still have the whole day planned!" I smiled. "We're going to go to the small petting zoo in town. Antonio recently made it! After that we'll go listen to some people making music-"
"And join them!" Felix added.
"Then go for a nice fruit cocktail (non-alcoholic). Finally we go hang out with some of the other guys in town and have fun! We can play cards, dance, sing, and a whole bunch of other stuff!"
"You guys sure know how to plan things." Bruno said happily.
"And then, at the end, we have a surprise for you."Felix said.
"A surprise?"
"Yup. But we can't tell you, so let's go pet some adorable animals!"
