A/N: Hey guys! I'm sorry for the really late update. I promise I've been working really hard on updates, I've just been so busy.

PSA: From this point on, there will be a lot of Korean spoken throughout the book. For situations where context will not be enough to clarify the meaning, I will provide an asterisk next to the words and their translations at the bottom of the sentence.

Additionally, there will be more occasional swearing as well as more discussion around mature themes from this point onward. I'm saying this now so I won't have to put notices on every single chapter, lol.

TUESDAY, APRIL 11th

  Dear Diary,

It was just a dream, I was saying to myself over and over again in my head as I walked up to the front of the room and fumbled to turn on my slides. But after having been quieted by the burning warmth of soju, my brain still couldn't differentiate reality from the ravishing darkness of my imagination.

I couldn't answer half the questions my professor asked me about my data, I made numerous mistakes while I spoke about my meeting with Mr. Bosnik, even forgetting to sight a few of my sources at the end.

Every day, I wait anxiously for my phone to flash with my mother's caller ID. I know she's going to be beyond livid about the grade I got on my presentation yesterday. Considering how hard I'd been working on it since my junior year, so am I.

I haven't performed this low since the time I was ranked second in high school.

Professor Albers was known to be some of the harshest graders in the economics department, but it seems he cut me a large break. I'm sure I would've gotten a lower grade if he hadn't known me to be the perfect 'A' student I am.

Was...

God, even now my stomach still churns. Linda's breathing exercises are getting harder to use these days.

      "Mr. Cho—"

      "What do you want?"

"Sajangnim," he corrected. "Do you know what your grade was for your final presentation?" It was a useless question, considering that Ha-Kun had free access to my Blackboard account to monitor my performance as he pleased since my freshman year.

The reflection of the sun bounced off something sharp at the edge of my vision. I tried ignoring it. But it just continued to stab, and stab, and stab.

Finally, I looked and saw it was my Rolex. I glared at the two knife-sharp hands ticking in sync. It felt like their sure, calm movements were taunting me.
