"Oh well thanks, but I need a hat. I can't risk anybody seeing me." I panicked and ran behind the boulder. "You go; I'll just wait here until nightfall."

He rolled his eyes and came over to me. "Don't be ridiculous."

"I'm not!" I pouted as he sat down next to me.

"Alice?" Draco began. "Can you see me?"

I laughed. Maybe the lack of oxygen got to him? "Of course I can see you!"

"Then why do you wear glasses, if you don't need them?" he asked, curiously.

That's when I finally realized that my glasses were still at the peer. I went in my back pack and retrieved my wand before muttering 'Accio glasses' making them come to me. "I wear them because I need them to read and since I'm mostly reading I always forget to take them off." I said while stowing them away in my bag.

"But you look so pretty without them,” he said honestly. I blushed and then shivered as a cool breeze passed by. Draco took notice and pulled out his wand. Then he wordlessly did a spell to dry himself and his hair before he proceeded to do the same to me. I smiled warmly at him but found him staring at me, his mouth parted slightly.

"What?"

"I-uhh-nothing," he stuttered and then he smiled, nervously. "Your hair is really beautiful. It looks even lighter when it's dried." I blushed again causing him to smirk. "Why do you always blush when I compliment you?"

I rolled my eyes. "Because Draco, I never get compliments, especially from good looking boys." I mentally slapped myself for being so honest.

His smirk widened. "So you think I'm good looking?" I nodded, shamelessly which surprised him. We sat in silence for a while until I decided to break it.

"Why did you do it?" I asked, unsure. It probably was a touchy subject but I needed to know. He sighed deeply. His piercing grey eyes held warmth in them as he looked over at me.

"I did it because I was really stressed out," he admitted. "Life is getting really hard."

"Oh Draco, if your ever stressed out and need someone to talk to I'm always here. Killing yourself isn't going to make your problems go away if anything think about your family. Think about your mother." I said softly, surprising him. "I don't know if you consider me your friend but I know that I consider you as my best friend if anything, my only friend aside from Hermione. I'd hate to lose you." I pouted and he absent mindedly reached over and ran his fingers threw my hair, causing my face to heat up.

"Of course you’re my friend and I'd love it if we were best friends. You’re easy to talk to and get along with. You don't judge me or look at me wrong. You’re just...yourself and I like it," he admitted.

I smiled. "Draco, please promise me that you'll never do that again?"

He hesitated before saying, “I promise."

Satisfied with his answer, I turned my attention back to the situation at hand. My hat! How am I going to get inside without being seen? "Draco, how am I going to get inside without anyone seeing me?"

He thought about it for a moment before speaking. "I have a hat in my room that's similar to yours if you want it?" I nodded like a bobble head. "Okay well, I know a passage way to the Slytherin common room but you must listen to everything I say, got it?"

"Got it.” I smiled and followed him towards the side of the castle and into a tunnel. After a few long strides we finally made it the Slytherin common room. Draco turned to me and took off my Gryffindor tie and stuffed it into my bag. Then we peered into the room and it looked empty. As we entered, Draco grabbed my hand and led me upstairs to the boy's dormitories. But before we could reach the steps, a guy I recognized as Adrian Pucey who ironically is one of my main tormentors, stopped us.

"Hey, Malfoy!" he called. Draco silently cursed before turning around to face him. I did the same, not to raise suspicions but I hid myself beside Draco.

"Yes, Pucey?" Draco didn't even hide the irritation in his voice.

"Who's the babe?" he asked and winked over at me.

I resisted the urge to throw up at his perverted glance. I looked over and a found mirror on the wall. I looked at it closely and was in complete shock. My usually horrifying appearance was gone and replaced by a goddess. My long, golden blonde hair was silky and straight. My skin was flawless and my big, blue eyes shined with a fierce intensity while my lips were pink and pouty. I looked gorgeous. I was snapped out of my daze when Draco put his arm around my waist as he glared daggers at Adrian, who was shamelessly staring at my legs.

"That's none of your business, Pucey. Now if you'll excuse us."

And with that Draco pulled me upstairs leaving Adrian to stare at our back sides. Draco led me to his room, which I noticed was only his. I'm guessing his father made a few calls to get him his own room. I sat down on the bed while he looked in his bureau for the hat. I yawned loudly catching his attention.

"You tired?" he asked, while walking back and giving me the long awaited hat. It was exactly like my old one but blue and brand new. I smiled at him but then I yawned again.

"Sorry."

He chuckled, "You're always saying sorry for the oddest things."

"Sorr-" I cut myself off as I blushed. He just laughed at me.

"You see what I mean." I nodded and then yawned again. "How far is your room?" He asked knowing full well that I don't sleep in the Gryffindor dormitories, since he asked me about it in class.

"On the-" I yawned. "Seventh floor."

"If you'd like, you're welcomed to sleep here for a bit, at least until dinner. You must be exhausted from pulling me out of the water today. Which, I forgot to say thank you, for." He paused and took a deep breath. "Thank you." I smiled weakly from exhaustion and then yawned again. "Alright that settles it. You’re going to sleep right now."

I was extremely tired, so I quickly obliged, he didn't need to tell me twice. I put my new hat in my bag and crawled into the bed. "Thank you." I murmured against the soft fabric of the pillow. Draco stood up and placed a green blanket over me. I closed my eyes and felt myself falling into a deep sleep.

"Alice," Draco said softly from the chair across from me. I muttered an incoherent 'yeah' but he heard it. "Why did you kiss me?"

My eyes shot open and I looked over at him in shock. "When?"

"Today after you saved me," he paused. "When I woke up you were kissing me."

"Oh," I sighed, relieved. "I was just giving you CPR." His looked confused. "That's when you use your mouth to breathe air into the other person's lungs."

He seemed disappointed, "Oh, okay." I closed my eyes trying to go back to sleep when he spoke again. "Have you ever kissed a boy before?"

I kept my eyes closed. "No. I've never even had a boyfriend before. Matter of fact, I've never even had a crush on anyone."

"Really?" he sounded surprised. "Why not?"

"Because Draco, I'm not the prettiest girl in school and I didn't want to get my hope up and be rejected. I've never even been to a dance because no one has bothered asked me. I mean, why would they?" I said, sadly.

"You really need to stop that," he said, sternly.

"Stop what?" I opened my eyes, confused.

"Putting yourself down. I've only known you for about a week and I value you more than you value yourself," I sighed and he got the message so he changed the subject. "So...I was your first kiss?" He smirked.

I rolled my eyes and pulled the covers up to hide my blush, "Technically, yes."

He smiled at this, "Good."

"How so?" I yawned and he ignored my question.

"Just go to sleep, I'll wake you up in time for dinner, okay?"

"Okay,” I murmured before closing my eyes and losing myself in a wonderful dream.
