I couldn’t sleep. Why? I don’t know.

I don’t also know what to reply on Kylo’s message. So I just heart reacted on it.

It’s already ten in the evening but I still couldn’t sleep, i supposed to be at my dreams now but no. So I get up and went to my closet to get a hoodie. I wore a gray over-sized hoodie, and a pyjamas. I didn’t bring anything, just my phone and my car’s key, oh— and a book too, as I exited the house.

Ako lang din ang nag-labas ng sasakyan ko sa garahe dahil tulog na malamang si Kuya Rick. I drove away without anywhere to go. But i ended up parking my car on a coffee shop, that one where Kylo and I met. 24/7 coffee shop pala ‘yon.

I entered the coffee shop just to see that I am just the one who’s in there. Walang ibang consumer dahil siguro bukod sa gabi na ay underrated din talaga ‘tong coffee shop na ‘to.

I was welcomed by a lady, not the one that has a crush on Kylo, hula ko lang crush niya si Kylo. Medyo halata naman. This lady is a new one, i guess. Madalas ako rito sa coffee shop na ‘to but I never seen her before.

Anyway, I ordered myself a cup of coffee and a sliced of mocha cake. I paid for it and sat on a table for two since wala namang tao. It helped though, that no one is here so I  can have some alone time.. to read at peace.

I opened the new book I bought.. last week? Or last last week. It was in romantic genre.. a love story. The blurb says that it’s talking about a complicated love story, confusion is in it. I just hope that there’s an endgame for the main characters.

I started reading while drinking the coffee. It was past eleven in the evening when I half-finished the book. It was good, but with so much conflicts sa relationship ng dalawang character. Nakaka-dalawang kape na rin ako.

I continued reading almost sob when the two characters parted ways already. They didn’t even get to have a label! What the hell is going on? I slammed the book close as I heavily sighed.

“I just guess that’s so heavy to read.” A guy behind me spoke.

My eyes widen in shock as I turned my head around to see Kylo. He’s even smiling from ear to ear, what the fuck is he doing here?

“kanina ka pa ba ja’n?” I asked. Prente kasi siyang naka-upo sa may bandang likod ko na table.

“Sakto lang. Mind if I join you there?”

“Not really..”

Tumayo siya at lumipat sa lamesa kung nasaan ako. May dala rin siyang order niya siguro.

“What are doing here?” i asked totally curious.

“To drink a coffee? I just didn’t expect you to be here. Mukhang seryoso ka rin sa pagbabasa so I didn’t bug anymore, not until I heard your sighs.” He even had the guts to chuckled. Really in front of my face?

“It’s just too complicated.. the story itself.” I raised the book. It’s thin kaya madaling dalhin.

“What’s the title?”

“The Fading Sun, written by angelabsyouu.” i answered. “and it’s also fading, my gosh.” I’m so stressed.

“Might as well buy one for me. Is that good?”

“It’s pretty good. Wanna read the blurb?”

“If that’s fine to you, sure.” He smiled.

I nodded and handed him the book, while he read the blurb I just stared at him. He’s also curious about it. Maybe he’s into books din pero hindi sa mga nobela? Baka more on educational books ang mga binabasa niya? He looks good with books in his hands.
