Ignoring her last note I continued copying down the notes.

"Cory, wait up!" Courtney called out as I left the classroom in a hurry.

            "What?" I asked.

"You didn't reply to my note?"

At that point I started to avoid her eyes.

She grabbed my face in her hands.  "Cory, Lily needs you."

            I didn't reply.

            "And you need her."

            "So?"

"Don't go sleeping around with other people.  You're just going to hurt her!"

            I sighed.  "You're right..."

She smiled and let go of my face.  "Hey Cory... do you like Lily?"

            "Like meaning...?"

"As in... you think she's pretty."

            "Yeah she's pretty."

            "And you like her personality."

            "She's a very sweet girl."

Courtney took a step closer, a playful smile on her lips.  "And when she gazes into your eyes you feel all mushy inside."

My expression immediately dropped into a glare.  "Very funny."

She giggled and took a step back.  "I know.  So do you feel that way?"

Looking back and memorising every time Lily looked into my eyes with a smile on her face I felt myself smiling too...

            "That's a yes!" Courtney squealed.

            "Ah, shut up."

She giggled resulting with me poking my tongue at her.

"So have you asked her out yet?" Courtney asked as we walked down the hall in the direction of our next class.

            "No..."

            "Why not?!"

            "I don't know... I should."

"Yes, you should.  Ask her out for the movies or something this Friday at lunch time."

            "I will."

Courtney grinned at me.  "You two would be so cute together."

I rolled my eyes and flicked her.

As soon as I arrived at class the teacher said to me, "Cory, you must report to the principals office."

I groaned and turned back around, walking over to the office.

"Take a seat Cory," the principal said.

I sat in the seat he indicated and he looked at me for a bit.

"Is there something you wanted to say, sir?" I asked.
