Hell my honies! It's been a while since my last update but the next chapter is finally here! I'll try to update every week but if I don't please don't hate me. Believe me when I say I Will Finish This! Enjoy!
No, I can't face the Doctor! Not after this... Shadow carried you to the back of the EGG Fort II explaining "It's in your best interest to leave the Doctor alone for now." The rest of the trip was flown in silence. No one made use of the front entrance at home but the Doctor wasn't in good humor. You squared your shoulders and followed the Doctor. You were of course scolded the moment the doors closed. The Doctor roared, "You could have had them! IT All could have..." He pauses to see you regretfully staring at your boots. "I suppose *sigh* you are not entirely to blame. It can't be helped. If it really bothers you that much Decoe and Bocoe can try to find something that you could wear." You look up and he pats your head reassuringly. Your returning smile causes him chuckle. "All in all, your performance was impressive. The look on their faces HOHO I've never seen those two so awestruck. But don't think I'll lighten the training. Your regiment stays put missy." "Yes Doctor." "Good, now locate Shadow and inform him your scheduled training has been unchanged. I believe I saw him exit into the kitchen." You could see the gears inside the Doctor's head turning as he took the elevator to the lower levels. What is he planning now?
Shadow gave you a sidelong glance from behind the counter. The unasked question was evident on his face as you sat on the kitchen table. You sit in silence resting your chin on your arms. Your ears perk at the sound of a shrill whistle followed by soft clinking. "Here," he hands you a cup of tea, "It's lavender." "Thank you," the warm cup leaves a sense of comfort in your hands, "it's quite aromatic." Setting his own cup down he kneeled in front of you. "Are you currently suffering from any discomfort?" He asks seriously. "No, not at the moment." "Sit up, I need to run a check." He runs through the usual once over. He applies pressure to your abdominal. "Does this pain you?" "No physical pain Shadow, I'm fine... If I may be so bold I would like to perform a check on you." This takes him aback, "It's unnecessary." "It would make good practice if ever you were to sustain an injury," you softly pleaded. He stood up and gently pulled your hand to motion you to do the same. He took your seat. Shadow~ you smiled affectionately at his turned away face. With that usual look it always appears as though he's disgruntled about something. You don't really know what you're doing but you remember the process and where he places his hands. "I want to thank you for rescuing me during training today." "It was nothing." "I would feel at ease if I could do something in return." He regarded you coolly and without hesitation he answered, "If you insist on the subject there are a few things about your character I would like to address. Starting tomorrow you are not to leave my side, comply with all commands. Is that understood?" This was a shock, he just mentioned a moment ago that it was nothing. Ask and you shall receive I suppose. It wasn't a difficult task. Actually it was preferable. "Sounds perfect," you nearly purred. Whoops, keep that in check.
You observe his shoulders have remained stiff and he won't look you in the eye while you're maintaining contact. "Is something the matter?" "I'm not used to this close proximity for long periods of time." "Should I stop?" Alarm flashed in your eyes, you begin to pull away. His hands rest on your shoulders to keep you from moving, "I didn't say it caused me discomfort. It something I will have to get used to." A small smile pulls on your lips. You were his exception, the very thought brought tremendous amounts of happiness but you heard the Doctor abruptly roar angrily from one the rooms. You're both on scene in an instant. The Doctor continues as Decoe and Bocoe quiver from the sight of his rage, "How dare you agree to that bat's bargain! She is two faced, the last thing I need is for her to ruin my plans!" Those poor bots, sometimes they could be so clueless. "Doctor please, they meant no harm. Whatever is to come we'll take it in strides," You said reassuringly. His anger subsides slightly and he pinches the bridge of his nose, "You don't understand. Her loyalties are always in question. For all I know after her visit she'll report what she's seen here to Sonic." Sonic?Oh this will be fun. "As I said, we'll take it in strides. If it's simply one individual it shouldn't take much convincing to keep them quiet. By the by who is our unexpected visitor?" "Rouge the bat," Shadow answers. Hmm so the Doctor didn't actually mean bat as in insane but she's an actual bat, interesting. "When should we be excepting her?" you ask. "Sometime tomorrow afternoon," the Doctor states before taking a seat in one of his many extravagant leather chairs or as you refer to them, his boss chair. "I'll go make preparations, we wouldn't want our guest to be... uncomfortable" you said as you exit the room. You hear the Doctor triumphantly exclaim, "Bwahaha! That's my girl! Perfection I tell you, nothing less than perfect!" Rouge huh? You remember overlooking her file while you were researching Sonic in the "theater room."
