SIX DAYS LATER...

It was a regular Saturday morning for Bonnie, spending her free time in her room studying with the blinds open. Something about the sounds of cars honking, people cursing each other out, and jazz music seemed to calm her down. Being that Bonnie treasured her education, she found a way to continue it online. Usually, she hated when Kol offered to compel her professors, but she took advantage just once and let him let the school board let her finish school virtually. College was not something that she was going to give up for the sake of New Orleans.

As the minutes passed, Bonnie found it harder and harder to focus with all the ruckus coming from downstairs. She rolled her eyes, hating that this was something she'd have to get used to, the echoes of someone fighting every second. Bonnie placed a bookmark on the page and closed the book. She stood up and walked downstairs.

Kol pushed Klaus against the wall, a stake in his hand as he held it over the hybrid's chest. Bonnie's eyes widened. Klaus took sight of the witch and cleared his throat. Kol turned around, still having his brother pinned against the wall. Now that Kol was distracted, Klaus grabbed the stake out of Kol's hand and threw him to the floor.

Kol groaned in pain, though he was pretty impressed. "Well done, brother," he said.

"Well done," Klaus said as he helped Kol stand. He vamp sped upstairs, offering Bonnie a wink as he ghosted past her.

Kol walked to Bonnie, a smile on his face. "Good afternoon, beautiful."

Bonnie narrowed her eyes; he was oddly in a good mood. "Good afternoon to you, too," she said. "Okay, what just happened?"

Kol chuckled. "Oh, that? It was nothing. We were just play-fighting."

Bonnie clicked her tongue and folded her arms over her chest. "Play fighting, huh?" Kol nodded. "Then explain that," she said, pointing to the bleeding cut on his lip.

Kol touched his lip and lowered his hand to see blood on his fingertips. "Vampires play rough, darling."

Bonnie scoffed. "Yeah, a bit too rough," she hissed. "I was trying to study but couldn't because of all the noise you were making. I know I'm just a help here, but a little peace and quiet would be nice."

Kol took a step closer to her, their faces inches apart. Him being so close sent shivers down her spine. Suddenly, her knees felt weak, and her breathing began to slow down. Kol could hear the slowing of her pulse and loved that he made her as vulnerable as she made him feel. She wanted nothing more than to press her lips against his but held back. The sexual tension between them was insane.

Kol put his face to hers, almost as if he was about to kiss her, but his lips slid to her ears. "That's where you're wrong, sweetheart. You're far more than just a help to me," he whispered. He took a step back.

Bonnie looked into his eyes for a split second. And, oh, those brown eyes did something to her. They were like a siren, making her want to follow him wherever he went. What are you doing to me? She thought. She couldn't handle the tension anymore (if she ever could begin with) and walked to the kitchen. Kol followed her with his hands held behind his back.

Hayley was in the kitchen, pouring herself a glass of orange juice. "Hey, Bonnie."

"Hey, Hayley." Bonnie looked at Hayley's stomach. "How's our baby?"

Hayley smiled and rubbed her belly. "She's doing just fine."

Kol scoffed. "How do you know it's a she?"
