Kate's POV:

Panic flooded through Luke and I as we rushed into his car. The worst scenarios started playing out in my head. Is Ashton okay? Has something happened to Calum? Is anyone hurt? Questions flying through my head.

"We need to call Mikey now!" I said snapping Luke out of his nervous frenzy. I had left my phone at home in all this rush. He scrambled for his phone and passed it to me.

We could both hear it ringing because of the dead silence in the car and a few seconds later someone picked up but no one answered.

"Hello" I said repeatedly but no one was answering but suddenly Calum shouted.

"Get over here now! And hurry!" We both flinched at the sudden voice and Luke pressed down on the pedal harder so that we could increase our speed.

In a couple of minutes we got to Ashton's house and I jumped out of the car as soon as possible. I ran to the door and let myself in. The view I had in front of my was strange as hell.

Ashton's little sister, Lauren. I had known her since she was a baby. She was a lovely child with a great personality. But the sight in front of me wouldn't describe Lauren as I had described her.

This girl definitely wasn't the Lauren I knew. There she stood, metres away from my best friends, with a large blade in hand. She almost looked like a murderer. The anger radiating from her showed that she wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone of us right now.

Fear ripped through me as she lunged forward to swipe the knife against Ashton's neck but missing by a few inches. She almost looked possessed. The next strike was towards me. I didn't feel anything at all.

Did she miss? But seconds later all the noise in the room dulled and I could hear shouts from the boys but couldn't comprehend what they were saying. What was happening?!

I felt an arm yank me backwards by the waist and try and pull me out of the door. But I was physically glued to the floor, I was so stunned.

My vision blurred as I saw a shadow move towards the window without any physical action to cause it. There wasn't anyone or anything there that could've caused it. That can't be true, maybe I'm hallucinating.

Shouts were getting fainter around me as my body felt more numb. Soon enough black splotches covered my vision and I could feel myself blacking out.

Ashton's POV:

No. Words cannot describe how I'm feeling right now. I felt sick as I saw the blood rushing towards the surface of her abdomen. I panicked and ran towards her without giving a second thought about my psycho sister behind me.

This can't be happening, not today. Today was meant to be great, everything was working out. But as I picked up my best friend from the ground, practically covered in blood, I knew everything I thought was too good to be true.

I ran out with her in my arms, leaving Calum and Mikey to deal with Lauren. I know it should be my responsibility but my brain suggested that this was of a higher importance.

"Unlock your car! Let's get to her to the hospital now!" I screamed at Luke who hurriedly scrambled for his keys. Her t-shirt was covered in blood as was mine as we got into the car.

The nearest hospital was St. George's Hospital which was about 3 miles away from here. Time went by so slowly as I felt her struggling to breathe against me.

"Hold on Kate, we're nearly there" I said quietly, somehow hoping for her to hear. As I saw the hospital come into view, I saw Luke visibly speed up. Soon we rushed through the main door shouting for assistance and being granted it almost immediately.
