Aru Shah Oneshots and Headcanons

Aruden Headcanons

I'm sleep-deprived and stressed so this is what you guys get, a bunch of random headcanons cobbled together like stones in a street :)

Aru always stays up late reading fan theories/conspiracies and Aiden tries to get her to sleep but just ends up falling asleep himself (randomly holding onto her arm or something) and Aru always smiles and makes sure he's covered by a blanket

Aru has literally the most complicated Starbucks order and whenever the barista goes to make a comment about it Aiden will put on his don't-you-dare face and the barista shuts up (poor thing doesn't get paid enough for this)

Aru and Aiden always look good, but whenever they have to dress up for something Aiden is always more impressed because Aru's regular outfits are always messy and chaotic and Aiden's always like "How the heck-"

Aru is always creating these random concoctions where she mixes a bunch of ingredients to see how it'll turn out and once, she put hot sauce on a brownie and enjoyed watching Aiden's look of horror as she ate the whole thing (bonus: Brynne was horrified too, but after she tried it she declared Aru a genius in the kitchen)

Aru is a dog person and Aiden is a cat person, but somehow when Aru finally gets that Great Pyrenees, he gets along really well with Aiden's cat Flash (Aru's dog is named Gandalf and has fluffy white fur that could totally be a beard)

Aiden loves taking pictures of the ducks at the park, and one day he brings Aru along and realizes just how cute she looks and oh my gods he's found a new favorite subject

Aiden is generally an ammamma and he is mercilessly teased for this but then one day he hurts himself trying to take a photo of something and discovers just how motherly Aru can be

Aru is literally the most sarcastic person Aiden's ever known and as if her quips weren't enough, she makes the most ridiculous jokes ever but he can't stop the laughter bubbling out of his lips and when was the last time he smiled so much?

Aru is surprisingly good at baking (she's not Brynne but all those lonely days when her mother was off on a business trip really paid off) and Aiden has made it explicitly clear that he does not bake but one day she decides to teach him anyways (which ends with flour in their hair, a slightly charred countertop, and an emergency call to Brynne)

Aru and Aiden have weekly movie nights in which Aiden is forced to watch the LotR/Harry Potter/Marvel movies in endless repetition and one day Aru realizes this and lets Aiden choose a documentary to watch at their next movie night and he's so happy

They don't fight often but when they do it's about the other's safety and they always end up apologizing in like 2.5 seconds because they're so scared of hurting the other person

Aru always cries during character deaths or sad parts of a movie but pretends she doesn't and Aiden never comments on it and just puts his arm around her and lets her cry quietly

Yes, I am back, albeit with a crippling case of writer's block. Occupational hazard, I guess?

Anyways, what did you guys think? I had half an hour to put something together for y'all, so I'm sorry about the outrageous amount of run-on sentences.
