So when the Devas cross a line and threaten the royals themselves, Aru goes to their kingdom to give them a kick in the face. Moving to the city for her studies was supposed to be a fresh start. But sharing the same roof with him? That's her worst nightmare. He's arrogant, annoying, and always ready to get on her nerves. She's stubborn enough to argue back every single time. She's not well-known, to almost everyone. Well, except on the streets. After she lost her parents in a car accident, which killed her mother and father-Krithika and Suyodhana Shah, she ended up in the orphanage. After two years of dealing with the cruelty of the orphanage workers-she refuses to call them her "caregivers"-she ran away. She made a life on the streets, learning how to fight instead of learning math or history, eventually carving her name into the list of people to avoid on the streets. Then there's Aiden Acharya, son of Malini Acharya, famous, no, more than famous singer and dancer. He always got what he wished for as soon as he desired it. He's that popular boy at school that never meant to be popular, but he is. Probably because of his looks-literally, he does get flirted with (I'm sorry, I had to), disappointingly. Aiden learned how to dance instead of how to throw a punch. He learned math and history instead of how to survive alone. He learned manners, how to be polite, how to pretend all day, how to control his temper so that he doesn't snap at anyone. In all honestly, they never meant to bump into each other-especially not right after Aru was in a fight.

Aru and Aiden are finally getting married after years together. They experience what it is truly like to plan a huge Indian wedding and to have a bunch of aunties chasing them. Hello! So, this is actually a mermaid Aru Shah AU-about Aruden, of course! (Wow, I don't give any other ship attention at all, haha.) The first chapter has the background information, and the ships!

I randomly thought up of this while humming "Never Acting at All" by Melina KD. Yes, I just created Song of the Sea, for those of you who are here because of one of my other fanfics, and I haven't finished any of my other Aru Shah fanfics, but I got an idea, okay? Aru Shah's an actress. No, not a famous one, but enough to make money while she works on her (not yet published) books, just enough to live in a small apartment, afford groceries, and also own a small laptop. Aiden Acharya's an actor, hard at work, working to become a photographer. He's pretty famous, mainly for his looks, but he also works on only small plays...all of which get sold out quickly once people figure out that he's acting at that play. What happens when they both try out for, "The Little Mermaid" musical, and they get cast as Eric and Ariel? They both know that a relationship is unprofessional when you're both in a play together. But what will happen? What if they fall in love? (All characters, that aren't characters I created, belong to Roshani Chokshi, I think that that's her name, I forgot, and this is a human AU!
