Sunlight

Sunlight.. He was like sunlight

Always cheerful and happy. Always smiling and laughing. There wasn't a day that Esme or any other of they're friends would feel sad around Lucas. He knew how to cheer up anyone and everyone, always. But no one really knew what was happening inside his own head.

Behind his loving smile there were thousands of layers, layers that were hiding the feeling he felt deep inside..

-Lucas, wait for me!,- I shouted while running up to him

-Huh?,- he slowly turned his head

-Why didn't you wait for me you damn fucker!, I shouted angrily

-Looks like someone's mad,- He mockingly laughed

I pushed him slightly, with an annoyed frown on my face

-Don't be such a meany, let's hurry to class,- he smiled innocently

I didn't really argue, we really were late to class. And well probably because of me. But Lucas never got mad at me. He didn't really get mad at anyone to be honest. That's what I love about him. As a best friend of course, at least that's what I'd like to believe.. My feelings towards Lucas are complicated. I feel this little spark in my heart every time I see him, hear his laugh, see his smile, every time I'm around him.

-Hey earths calling Esme!,- Lucas tapped me, looking a bit worried

-Yes, yes! I'm here,- I shook waking up from my daydream

-What were you daydreaming about? Was it about me?- Lucas smirked a little

-No it wasn't you jerk..

-Hey you two in the back! Pay attention and stop flirting!- the teacher yelled at the two of us

The class started giggling while looking up at us. My cheeks went red and I could see Lucas smirking at me a little. God he was hot. NO No none of those thoughts can enter my head! I yelled at myself.

Finally when class ended it was already 11:32 am so me and Lucas both headed to the cafeteria. After we got our food, we sat down next to our friends: Aldona, Dan, Marcus, Angelina and Emily.

-How are you guys today?- Lucas asked smiling

Everyone immediately turned to us and smiled warmly. I really was thankful for this friend group, everyone was always so supportive, nice and everyone was invited to spend time with us.

-Wassup my man!- Dan shouted, while coming up to Lucas

-That was really cringe you know that right..-mumbled Aldona

-Hey! Your the chick with the weird ass name!- Dan protested

-Alright, alright everyone calm down,- I tried my best to not start laughing

All of us giggled, and sat down to eat our food.

After school ended I went to Emily's house, she was my closest friend besides Lucas.

-So.. tell me about your day,- Emily smiled

-Why do you wanna know so much about it?- I asked confused

-I'm just bored, and my day was nothing special c'mon spill the tea!

-Alright, alright,- I sighed

After I told her about my day today (which was also nothing special) She stood up and giggled.

-What's so funny?- I asked curiously

- I don't know maybe the part where your whole day today looked like a teenager Disney movie scene..- She looked me in the eyes.

-Shit! You're right!- We both laughed

We spend the rest of the day talking about school, parties and bunch of other stuff, when I suddenly got a text message

-Who's it from?- Emily took a glance at my phone

-I don't know lemme check

I stared into the screen, and smiled a bit

-Soo... are you planning on telling me who's message your smiling at?- Emily mumbled

-Oh yeah, It's from Lucas..
