Part 4

This one is based on Young justice episode. But it's a little changed. This fic will make more sense if you have watched the show. Again I own none of these characters.

13 years old.
We see freeze at the park.
Whatever as long as it's quick. I swing over.
Agent A made me a new costume because I grew out of the old one. I kept it though. That and Peanut are all I have left of them.
I look over a Bats. He gives me go and i throw a birdarang. "Batman I was wondering when you would-" Freeze pauses when i cackle. I leap over him and crack his helmet.
As usual He starts taughting me.
"Yeah, yeah yeah, I'm kinda in a hurry here." I tell Bats. He gives me an amused look.
"Kids, always in a rush these days."
"Wasn't talking to you." I snip impatiently.
Bats finishes him off. "Ok come on come on. I have to be there before KF." I say pulling on Bats arm. He smirks.

"Todays the day." Bats tells me as we look at the Hall of justice.
I look up. Look Mami, Tati, I'll make you proud.  I silently tell my parents.
We walk in. Flash as always was late. KF was not pleased.
"Guess I'm a little overwhelmed." KF Says. "You're overwhelmed, freeze was underwhelmed. Why is nobody ever just whelmed?" See I know English but it doesn't make sense. So i make up words. Apparently. They really should be words.
  Speedy flips out at the heroes and leaves. Yeah I knew it wasn't the real HQ but I'm okay with that. This was a pubic stunt to recognize the apprentices as apart of the league, even if not as complete members
Cadumus catches fire. Me and Babs would do missions with out permission a lot. It's worth the lecture.
I hack in and me, KF, and aqua lad head out.

Turns out they don't work likes bats. The kept stoping and they get mad if you run ahead. Weird.
"Wait clone, superboy?" I say after hacking it. The specs were crazy. We try to call the league but we're too deep. Hehe. I free it we just look for a minute. Then he lunges at Kal, pinning him down 5 feet behind us. He proceeds to punch him but me and KF grab the clone.
I cover his eyes while KF holds his arm back.
The clone throws KF off. He smash's into a glass tube effectively knocked out.
I wrap an arm around it's head and spray it with knock out gas. Which was completely ineffective as it was a kryptonian but it does stun him.
Kal kicks him off sending him flying into the controls. I pull out my taser aiming it quickly. The second he gets. Up i pull the trigger. The cables attaches and...nothing.
He grabs the cables and yanks me toward him. I yelp.
He catches me and throws me on the floor. Ow.  Before I can recover he stomps down on me. Again ow. Then he presses down. I hear one of my ribs brake and the air whooshes out of me. I'm gasping clawing helplessly at his leg.
Kal smashes him off. I take a deep breath. Kal gently pulls me to my knees. I grab my ribs and cough. As a kid with and already weakened system from the streets, Let me tell you, OW.
I keep trying to breath but it doesn't feel like it's working. I fall back to the floor and it goes black.

I wake up trapped in a pod like super boy's KF and Kal are in one as well. The clone is staring at as. My chest aches but when does it not. "What-What do you want?!" KF shouts. "Quit staring you're creeping me out." I roll my eyes. Idiot.
"uh, KF, How about we not tick off the guy that can fry us with a look?" KF ignores me. Whateves. I tune them out and start picking the lock.
Then scientists come in and 'yada yada you are mine yada yada no thinking for you.' But when he walks out the pods insert 8 needle into each of us. the results are quick shocking. Literally they start shocking us and pulling blood from us. It hurts. Finally it stops.
I force my eyes open. I'm face to face with the clone. He seemed angry but the destroyed door in his hand told me he was on our side for now.
I pick the lock and drop. I hit the ground and fall forward.
"ROBIN" KF cries.
I shake the pain off. "You get Aqualad, I'll get Kid Mouth."
The clone glares. "Don't you give me orders either." But he set to work breaking out Kal.
I jump onto KF's pod and hack him out. "Dude, are you-" I glare. "I'm fine."
I blow up the collection tanks that had our blood and we turn to run.
"You never escape we'll have you back in pods before morning!" I sigh. "That guy is not whelmed. Not whelmed at all." I say. "What is it with you and this whelmed thing?" KF asks completely and utterly confused. I ignore him.
"We're still 42 levels below ground." Kal reminds us, "but if we can make the elevator..." a crowd of large gray animals cut us off. Yes i know I knew what they are but my brains a little fried at the moment.
Behind us more come in. We jump back as one tries to smash us. We sprint past it. Super boy had a different approach.
He lunged and punched the creature bringing it down. Another steps on him quickly. Dumbass.
We jump over one and we're in the clear. The landing jarred my ribs and I wince. I'm already winded. I hear Aqualad yell to the clone but I focus on catching my breath.
We find the elevator shaft. I grapple up with KF and super boy jumps with kal.
Turns out he can't fly. "Superman can fly. Why can't i fly?" He's frustrated. "I don't know but it looks like you can leap tall buildings in a single bound! Still cool." KF reassured. "Uh thank you." The elevator snaps me out of my wonder.
"Guys! This will have to be our exit!" The clone smashes the door and we jump out of the shaft just in time. We start running as the creatures appear behind us. Suddenly Superboy takes the lead. "Go left!" Um well ok. He guides us to a wall. I look up. Vent! Oh thank god. I love vents. I interrupt KFs scolding. "Don't apologize! This is perfect." I jump in quickly followed by the others. I hack start hacking. "At this rate we'll never get out!" KF whined. I roll my eyes. Super boy stops us.
"Ssh listen." He says. I grin. I hack in and play with the motion sensors. I hear a frustrated "he hacked the motion sensors!'' And hold back a laugh. "I hacked the motion sensors." I say proudly. KF rolls his eyes. We jump out.
"Great but There's still plenty of them between us and out." KF says. "But I've finally got room to move." He sprints off. We case after finding him and the floor rubbing his head. "We're cut off." Kal supplies. "Thanks my head hadn't noticed." KF snarks. The door won't budge so a kick another down and guild them down a hall way.
We freeze. Dozens of creatures blocked our path. We prepare to fight but a wave a sleepiness forces us to the floor. Adrenaline gone I can't ignore how much my chest hurts. Superboy is staring at a creature very very intently. Odd.
The sleepiness releases me and i try to push myself up. I fall back down but the second time was successful. Guardian shakes the clouds out of his head. "I'll deal with Desmond! Go!" He tells us. "I think not." The scientist says menacingly from behind the creatures. They back away from him. He looks crazed.
"I'll restore Cadumus to order!" Says before downing a blue liquid. He falls to the floor, muscles bulging as the grew. He clawed the ground as new muscles ripped through the old ones. In his new form he stood, grinning. Guardian charges first.
He's cuffed to the side smashing a nearby wall. Super boy punches it, landing a few good hits. They went back and forth until it smashed up to ground level. "That's one way to burst through the ceiling." I shoot my grappling hook up the hole. "Think lab coat planned that?" KF asks. I pull KF up with me, trying not to scream at the pain when I pulled him up. When we get up he dashes off to help Superboy. I watch the fight before giving them a plan. Collapse the building. I set up explosives. Oh i love explosives. I draw the x and Kal shocked him. I trigger the explosives and the building falls.
On us. Kal covers me while Superboy covers KF. Ow.

"We  did it." Kal says. I look up and grin. Superboy and kal are fine but I don't feel so good. Neither did KF by his reaction to the high five.
After getting lectured and then a little fighting, we got to make a team! I think Bats might even be pleased. Miss M joined too. She's cool.
"What do you think of the team?" Bats asked me. "Huh, oh, I'm excited." I say. I really am. "Robin, if they're hurting you then i will pull you out."
I laugh "Okay Daddybats. I'm sure we'll be fine. Besides, it's nice to see the others so often." I say glancing out the window.
Bats grunts and nods in his gruff baty way.
I smiles but it drops fast. "You're...Not mad, right?" I say quietly. He reads between the lines. "I'm not leaving you Robin, We'll still go on patrol. After all," He looks at me, smiling. "I don't think you were the only one who needed a friend. I'm not going anywhere, little bird." I smile, a little relieved my mask is covering my tears.
