The next day, the kids all go to school. I decide to call the school instead of showing up.
"Hello." Ms. Hazel says.
"Hello. This is Piper North. I'm Avery and Alejandra North's mother. I was hoping I could un-enroll them." I respond.
"Oh. Okay." Ms. Hazel replies. She types something and asks for some things. "Alright, I hope Avery and Alejandra are okay. Good bye, Mrs. North."
"Bye." I say before hanging up.

When everyone gets home, Austin and I pull Avery and Alejandra into mine and Austin's bedroom.
"Are we in trouble?" Avery asks.
"No. The opposite." I answer. Avery gives me a strange look but I notice Alejandra is looking nervous.
"Your mom and I pulled you girls out of your current middle school. We also enrolled you into a homeschooling program." Austin tells the girls.
"Really?" Avery asks, excited now.
"Yep." I nod.
"Can I still hang out with Vivi?" Alli asks.
"Yes, of course." I reply. Avery gives me and Austin a big hug then runs out of the room happy. Alli follows. "I think they're much happier." I say.
"Me too." Austin agrees. He puts his arm over my shoulders and we walk downstairs.
