By the time we make it to the castle, the line of people that were waiting is already inside. Its almost nighttime, and the streets are filled with glowing lanterns, lighting up shops that are now closed, presumably for the ball.

We cross through the stone castle walls, the music and chatter on the inside able to be heard from the garden outside.

Boy, this prince sure knows how to party.

We both step into the dancing hall, being overwhelmed at the amount of people inside. Classical music plays from the back of the room, our prince no where in sight.

There's a table of snacks to one side of the chaos, most of the hustle being in the center of the room where hundreds of couples dance together.

Jungkook has already been over the plan with me about fifteen times, making sure that I understand. We're supposed to act like a normal couple, then when the music picks up, we'll split up. He'll search the castle for the sunlight, and I'll find the prince and attempt to distract him.

Our arms are still linked, and to my surprise Jungkook leads me out almost into the center of the room. There must be thousands of people here, petticoats of different colors swaying around as their partners spin them through a dance.

We face each other, his hand going to my lower back and pulling me closer. His other hand gets locked in my own, and my free one moves up to his broad shoulder. I let him lead, since I have no clue what I'm doing.

We start off slow, just attempting to blend in amongst the crowd.

"This is easier than ice skating, huh?" I make a joke, watching his bunny teeth flash for a second before he goes back to his playful demeanor.

"Yeah. If you fall here, at least no one will notice."

I gape at him as he suddenly spins me out, pulling me back into his chest. The notion catches me off guard, and I have to shake my head back into reality.

"That's rude." I glance away from him, hand still on his chest from the spin. "Good to see you're acting yourself, tonight."

"You're not acting like yourself, though." He comments, making my eyes turn to meet his. "Ever since we met Namjoon, in fact. You've been distant."

Crap. He saw right through me.

The song changes to a slow one, only couples taking the floor now. Our dancing turns slower, him keeping those brown eyes trained on me.

"I fell on top of you and slept on your back." I try to start another joke. "I wouldn't call that being distant."

"You've been trying to ignore me." He whispers, the volume in the room decreasing. "I've noticed how you don't look at me directly, and how you're quick to scurry away when you get the chance."

I swallow a lump in my throat, hesitating to say what's on my mind. Anxious butterflies begin to build up, overjoyed that he noticed little details about me, but also fearful that I've been too obvious.

He's not mine. He will never be mine. Its all business, anyways.

"Maybe I just didn't want to get my heart broken." I blurt, being unable to stop my mouth and keeping my eyes trained on him, not letting him miss any emotion that runs through them.

"You shouldn't be afraid." His breath once again mixes with my own, and I just now realize how close we've gotten. He begins to lean down, and that further blocks out the people around us.

All I can see is him. All I can think about is him.

"Your heart isn't getting broken anytime soon." I watch is Adam's apple bob as he swallows, and with that final whisper, he closes the gap between us.
