Finally, you took a deep breath and pushed against his chest.

"I love you Min Yoongi, more than I can tell you, beyond all thought and reason. And I will count the hours until I can be with you again," you whispered and tried your best not to cry as you threw your arms around his neck and held on for life.

Drawing back a little, he took your face in his hands, leaning down and resting his forehead against yours.

"I love you (Y/n) and I want you to wait for me. I need you to be there when I get back. I will need to take you in my arms and be home again," he whispered, and you lost your battle when you felt tears slip down your cheeks.

He thumbed away your tears and leaned back until you lifted your eyes to see his.

"When I get back to Korea, I really want to spend some time talking about our next later Babygirl, because I want that to happen more than you know" he said. It took you a minute to remember what that was, and your eyes opened to their widest.

He smiled to see it and leaned in to kiss you again. Drawing back again, he smiled to see your eyes were still huge.

"I think you like that idea as much as I do (Y/N)kkeo," he said and smiled his huge gummy smile at the wonder in your eyes.

"Not as much as I think you like the idea Nampyeon." You dredged up the word in Korean from the recesses of your brain and were delighted when you saw Yoongi's blush under the lights from the entryway to the apartment building.

"I do like that Babygirl. I like it a lot. I think we'll want to talk about that in detail when I get back to Korea," he said and used his hands to draw you in for one more kiss.

He stepped back then and sighed.

"I love you Babygirl, I'll see you in a month," he said as he opened the door to the taxi and climbed in.

You waited for him to turn in the window and sent an "I love you," back to him. He smiled and waved, and the taxi headed off into the night.

You watched until you couldn't see the lights of the cab anymore and then stood there a few more minutes until the doorman came over to check on you.

He asked if you were ok and you realized you'd been sobbing for a bit now. You tried to calm down and tell him you were ok, but couldn't quite manage it. He smiled silently and helped you to the elevator and pushed the button for the penthouse.

You went through the motions of getting back inside on autopilot and closed the door behind you only to step into the empty apartment. It was so big without Yoongi inside and you lost track of yourself for a bit. You blinked again and realized you were in the bedroom, just standing next to Yoongi's side of the bed. He'd left you several of his hoodies folded neatly on his side of the bed, and your tears started again as you found them. You remembered reaching for one and then everything faded away again.

You woke up a bit when your phone sent a notification from LINE. Yoongi was at the first-class lounge at O'Hare and sent you a selfie of himself with a large drink of what looked like scotch, and there was a plane in the background.

You noticed his eyes were redrimmed and he looked awful, so you sat up a bit to take a selfie of your own. You realized that you were in the studio, and that was probably why your back was complaining. You took the selfie and realized you looked even worse than Yoongi did but sent the selfie anyways.

You got back a flood of red hearts and one lonely crying emoji, so you sent back the same thing and shut your phone again.

Then immediately opened it and changed Yoongi's name under line to Nampyeon. He sent back a single heart and you got a second notification, letting you know he'd changed your name as well.

It now read Anae and your heart simply melted.

But when you looked up from your phone and saw the empty studio you lost your buoyant mood again.

It wasn't until you looked over at the console and realized your ARMY bomb was missing that you realized he must have packed it to take with him and you gave in and laid down on the couch and let yourself give into the tears again.

~Author's Note~

Well friends, I think that's all I want to try to shove into THIS book. It took a lot of tissues to get here, and I'm kind of ok with the state of the book. It could use a solid swipe of editing and updating (I always miss the were/where, to/too, their/there/they're's), but I don't think Yoongi is quite ready to let me sleep yet.

The next book is already outlined, and I plan to start tomorrow, I'll post it as soon as I have a good set of chapters ready to go so long as someone is interested in reading it.

If I can offer an A/N within an A/N :) Book2 = Silver Moon is available now to read :) I hope you all enjoy it as much as you liked Fields of Gold. (And if not, please tell me!)

For everyone who has gotten this far, thank you thank you thank you, I adore you all. Every time the view count or the vote count rises, it makes my heart soar to think that maybe someone else might enjoy my story.

(Unless you're all robots which is always a deep-seated fear. In which case, I still love you all)
