Part 29

It turned out that zoom calls with BTS were also nothing like you expected.  You insisted Yoongi answer and start the call by himself while you checked the pizzas, made the salad, and set the table.  Thinking it would allow him some time to speak Korean at his normal pace with his brothers and allow you some time to mentally prepare yourself, but as soon as you heard Yoongi say his hellos all your expectations went out the window.

You heard a chorus of hello's that you swore were pitched enough to be from children, before Yoongi gave an exasperated sigh and asked something. You caught the word Appa and a few seconds later you heard Namjoon's super deep voice answer.  The chime for another attendee joining went off and yet more children's voices were heard.

You were beyond confused now but suspected that some NamJin fan fics were about to go up in flames when you heard Joon's voice ask for something from the children on his end, and more screams of "Appa, Suga!" before you heard the voice of Kim Seokjin come on the line.  You gave up any pretense of trying to set the table and stared at Yoongi.  He lifted his head from the laptop and smiled his hugest smile, before turning back to the laptop as it chimed again.

Now you heard the dual voices of Taehyung and Jimin and realized somebody elses fics were probably in a much better alignment since wherever they were, they were together.  You heard Namjoon say something about Hoseok and Yoongi grabbed his phone and shot off a text.

Jimin's voice came through loud and clear next.

"Jigeum eodi issnayo, geugeon hotel aniya?" You caught the end of the sentence and realized Jimin had questioned that Yoongi wasn't in a hotel

Yoongi sighed once and started his explanation but didn't get more than a few minutes into it before a clamor rose on the other end. It sounded like all four of the boys were talking at once and some of the kids had started yelling too.

You stopped futzing with the salad and turned down the oven temperature before going to lean against your kitchen island to listen the madness unfold.  Yoongi looked up again and smiled his massive smile, before beckoning you over to the couch next to him. You shook your head 'no' at him and his grin got even bigger.

"Chicken," he mouthed at you, and you nodded in agreement which just set him off again. 

Joon's voice boomed out from the speakers and even you put your hands over your ears as his "DAGCHYEO... jebal" came through the speakers.  Everyone, including the kids went silent for a second, before Namjoon continued.

"Min Yoongi, seolmyeong" said Namjoon.

Yoongi looked up at you one more time and held out his hand.

You sighed one massive sigh before pushing off the counter and coming to sit on your couch next to him.  He made sure he wrapped up your hand in his before whispering, "Ready?" You nodded a yes in response and Yoongi started his explanation again.  You sat awkwardly watching the screen in front of you while Yoongi introduced you.

"Igeon uliui Aein (Y/N)," said Yoongi and you turned to stare at him. You could feel your eyebrows shoot up at the word he used.  He squeezed your hand once, not looking at you and then started in on his explanation again. But again, he was interrupted.

Jimin laughter came across the speakers, his hand pointing at something on camera, and you assumed it was you as he said, "Geunyeoneun nollan geos gatseubnida, geunyeoege meonjeo malhaneun geoseul ijeossseubnikka?" Which then set off Tae and Jin into giggles as well.

~A/N~: Above translates loosely to "She looks startled, Did you forget to tell her?"  Since Aein translates as sweetheart, and that's a common K-Drama nickname, but not one Yoongi has used yet. Hope that helps
