"Say it." He insisted, raising his voice.

"You're being unreasonable. You don't need us to give you a formal letter. Leave and do it quietly!" His mother practically shouted. Her grip on her husband's hand was so tight her knuckles were white.

"Say it!" Chiharu said, shouting at his parents for the first time. "Please, please just say it. Once before I leave! Please just fuck-just say it!".

His father shot up from the table, shocking both Chiharu and his mother. The man marched over to Chiharu and pulled his out of his chair, to his feet and started pushing him out the door, not worrying in he knocked the boy into walls along the way.

Eventually he reached the door and Chiharu gave the man one last terrified pleading look.

He was promptly thrown to the ground of the hallway and the door was shut.

Sobs wracked the boy's body as he made his way out of the building, not wanting to run into either of them ever again.

------- ------- ------- -------- --------- --------- -------- ---------

"I couldn't bring myself to go to Inko's house." Chiharu said, wiping the tears from his eyes, "She was already suspicious of my parents and their ability to take care of me. I didn't want to confirm it for her.".

"Why not?" Keigo asked calmly. "They did a horrible thing. Not only did they kick you out of their house for something that is neither wrong nor your fault, that man put his hands on you. Just because it didn't bruise you like it would someone else doesn't mean its okay! You should be mad, furious and telling the police.".

"I don't think its a big deal." Chiharu said. He took another sip of the hot chocolate Keigo had made for them. It was still hot outside but they were indoors in the pro hero's fancy penthouse. It was more for comfort than anything else.

Keigo gave him a sad look and the teen relented.

"I just don't want to acknowledge that they don't love me." The teen revealed, his voice wet with tears, "I didn't want to admit that they were never there or that they didn't really know me. I felt like if no one knew than it wasn't true. I-I just wanted them to love me.". Chiharu put the mug down with shaky hands and wrapped his arms around himself.

"Oh Haru." Keigo said, his voice low and sympathetic. He pulled the boy into yet another hug.

Chiharu felt tired and so, so done. So much was going on and he had so much regret about his decision to attend U.A.

"I don't know if I ever really wanted to become a hero.".

It just slipped out. The events of the past week and a half had beaten Chiharu's resolve to a bloody pulp. There was no holding anything back now.

"What do you mean by that?" Keigo asked carefully. Haru's chest ached at the thought that his confession would probably ruin their relationship for even but he couldn't keep lying to everyone. He just couldn't do it anymore.

"My best friend announced that he was going to attend U.A's hero program in front of the class. I panicked 'cause I thought we were going to high school together. I started training soon after that-and I earned my place at U.A, don't get me wrong. I just don't think I was deserving of your guidance or all the training I'm getting now. Hundreds of kids apply to this every year, you know? I got in and now I feel like a sham because I did this all for some stupid crush." He ranted, hot tears pricking in his eyes.

The number two hero thought about everything Chiharu had said before answering. "Is this the first time you've seriously questioned leaving U.A?" He asked. Chiharu nodded. "After the USJ thing I got cold feet." He answered.

Keigo nodded and hummed thoughtfully. "Crushes aren't forever. It must be pretty serious if you like him enough to train to get into the most prestigious school in Japan." He said. Chiharu flushed a little and nodded.

"I've been in love with him since we were kids." The teen said. Keigo's eyes widened at his choice of word. 'Crush' didn't usually match up with 'Love'.

"I think you'll be a great hero. One of the best. Haru you have so much potential." The pro hero said honestly, "But I don't want you to keep torturing yourself wondering whether or not this is what you want out of life.".

Chiharu was shocked by the answer but he kept quiet. "I'll be the best mentor I can be, but to do that I need some time to think it over, okay? Why don't you go wash your face before the tears dry and finish your hot chocolate?".

The fully story is out in the open now!

Here's a fun fact, although Chiharu's parents are homophobic, that's not their main reason for kicking him out. You see, in chapter 8 he tried to have 'family bonding time' with his parents and it doesn't go well but outside of the stuff I have written he basically keeps trying to eat with them or talk or watch a movie as a family and when he sits them down so he can come out to them they're already upset that he's disrupting their life style.

Idk why I keep doing mean stuff to him 😭 the poor baby deserves the world!

On the bright side the next chapter is much funnier so stay tuned
