"Why does everyone leave?"

"Thomas and Minho will still be here. I promise I'll remember you."

"Alright. Can you please spend the night?"

"Of course. We can even make the best of this last night."

A sly smirk. Clothes on the floor.

A night full of fun and tears.

***

"I love you, Newt."

"I love you too, Y/n."

***

Crying over a toilet bowl, clutching something small. Minho and Thomas trying to console me.

Having to hide the next months.

Intense pain.

Terrible pain.

"NEWT!!!" I scream, but he's not here. He doesn't even know.

"Ana." I breath a sigh of relief, holding the baby.

***

Two years having gone by and friends have disappeared. Ana and I were one of the only ones left.

***

Hands grabbing at us. Me shielding Ana. Being torn apart. Needles stuck into me. Heated discussion in the corner. Ana being taken away. Blackness.

***

I jolt up in a cot, panting. My head whips around as if fills with memories.

Alex.

Ana.

Newt.

Newt. Where is he? I need to find them and tell them.

And Ana! She knew all along! Such a brilliant girl.

I stumble out of bed, a wave of dizziness and nausea overcoming me, but I brush it off. I hurry down the stairs, using the wall to steady me.

"Y/n?!" Clint and Jeff say in unison, looking thunderstruck.

"Hey." I breath, then turn to bolt out the door.

"Woah." Clint stops me in my tracks, arms crossed, "You are not going anywhere. At least not until we can give you a check-up and you get at least a full days rest."

I huff, "Let me go, Clint. I promise I'll be back I just need to find Ana and Newt."

Clint hesitates, and I take that as an opportunity to push pass him. I burst out into the glade, the sun burning my eyes. I shield them, wishing they would adjust quicker.

When they do, I dart around the glade, looking for my family. I know that I'm eliciting many a whisper, and that Alby must know by now, but I have to find them.

I spot Ana across the glade, Alex close by. "Ana!" I scream, and I start running. My leg burns, but it's all worth it when I see Ana's face light up.

"Mama!" She cries, and starts to toddle towards me.

I slide down on my knees, arms open wide, and we collide. "Ana." I whisper, tears running down my cheeks, "My baby. My baby girl." I stroke her hair as she hugs me tightly.

"Mama?" Ana asks, looking up at me, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fantastic, my baby girl!" I hold her face delicately, "It's amazing to hear you say that."

"What? Mama?" Ana asks.

"Yes!" I hug her tightly again, "I am your mom, aren't I?"

"You remember?" Alex comes up beside me, "All of it?"

"Alex!" I swing Ana up and smush her between Alex and I, "My brother. I'm so sorry." I start sobbing, "I'm sorry. I forgot. I promised."

"It's alright." Alex shushes me, rubbing my back soothingly, "It's what they do."

I gasp, "Newt! Where's Newt?"

"Probably in the deadlands." Alex says, "That's where he's been ever since you got stung."

"Oh." I sigh, "I'm going to go get him. I want to show him Ana. For real this time." I hug Alex and Ana one more time, and head off to the deadlands.

As I get deeper into the trees, I hear muffled sniffling. "Newt?" I call out.

"Y/n?" I hear a crunch, and from up ahead emerges Newt.

Newt stops and stares at me for the longest time, "Y/n?" He asks again, "But you were stung. I heard your screams. It was terrible. They wouldn't let me in. I'm so sorry I wasn't there when you woke up."

"It's alright, Newtie. And-And I remember." I say, smiling carefully. Newt looked confused at the affectionate nickname.

"What do you remember?" Newt asks carefully.

I smile brightly, grab him by the collar, and kiss him roughly on the lips.

Newt inhales sharply, but after a moment, starts to kiss me back. I wind my arms around his neck, and Newt pulls me close by my waist.

After a heated moment, we break away, and he beams at me. "What was that for?" He asks.

"You-uh- you know how Ana called us mom and dad?" I ask, and he nods, "Well," I continue, "That's because we are. After you were sent up here, I gave birth to Ana."

Newt's eye grow wide, "I'm a dad?" He says softly, "For real?"

I nod, wiping away some of his tears. Newt laughs and hugs me tightly.

"So, you're okay with that?" I ask.

"Of course!" He shouts, "I'm a dad!"

Ana walks into the small clearing, and Newt spots her. He smiles shyly at her, opening his arms. Ana squeals and leaps into them, "Dada!" She giggles.

"Yeah." Newt chokes, overcome with tears, "Wait." He looks at me, "Does that mean that we were, uh, in a relationship?"

"Yeah." I'm unsure of what his reaction will be. He doesn't remember any of it- will he still want to be with me?

All thoughts are flown out the window when Newt kisses me again. I smile into the kiss, savoring the taste of his lips against mine.

"Finally." We break away at the new voice. I turn to see Minho, Thomas, Alby, and Alex leaning against some trees, "Thought you two would never get together." Minho rolls his eyes.
