Chapter One
“Are you freaking serious?!” Winter hissed at her brother, slamming the passenger side door shut.
Aaron shrugged as he ruffled his dirty blonde hair, trying to give it that messy but hot look. Winter inwardly scoffed as she marched past him to the door of the gym.
He drove her to the gym as what she thought was brotherly love but turned out to be him wanting an excuse to come and drool at all the girls. She expected it but she couldn’t help but find it disgusting.
She tugged the door shut behind her forcefully, pausing to debate, twisting the lock to mess with him. After turning it over briefly she instead decided to just get someone to mess with him.
Smiling a little at the thought she walked forward, making her way toward the rows of punching bags. “Hey, Anya.” She called to the girl furiously striking a bag with multiple kicks and jabs. Anya stopped and turned, her chest heaving as she pulled her braids out of her eyes.
Anya was drop dead gorgeous. She had dark brown skin and long cornrow braids that spilled down to her waist. At the moment she wore a sports bra and short shorts that showed off her toned body.
“Yeah?” She asked in a breathy voice, no doubt out of breath from her workout. Winter waited as she took out her water bottle and took a large gulp before speaking."My brother decided to give me a ride."
Anya's face immediately twisted.
“Your brother as in your f-boy brother?” She asked with a large amount of distaste in her voice.
Winter grinned and nodded. This wasn't the first time her brother had come here to try and flirt. He’d become a bit of a celebrity among all the girls and was usually turned down immediately every time he tried to make an advance.
Anya, however, was very much a flirt. She could have him eating out of her hand by the end of the day. Which was exactly why she was the perfect person to knock him down a peg or two.
A small laugh escaped her mouth. Anya rolled her shoulders to stretch her aching muscles. “Let me guess, you want me to play him?”
“Exactly.” Winter said with a sly grin.
Anya shook her head in amusement, opening her mouth to say something but quickly closing it with her eyes caught something from behind Winter’s shoulder. “Holy hell, please don't tell me that's your brother.”
Winter's face scrunched up in confusion. Her brother was definitely not handsome enough for Anya to look so ready to jump him. She twisted around and blinked in surprise. The guy Anya was looking at was definitely handsome enough to jump in the middle of the gym, but he was not her brother, or anyone she had seen in the gym before.
As if on auto pilot she took her glasses off and cleaned the lenses on the bottom of her hoodie. She put them back on and almost let out a whistle. The guy standing in front of the entrance and exit was tall with broad shoulders. He was very muscular, with black hair and a sleeve tattoo running up his right arm. Instead of staring at his obvious hotness, Winter looked toward the door as two other guys she didn't recognize walked in.
