This might be mystifying to what happened after the apocalypse in London.

Why did poor Varian ran away to a different timeline?!

Was it his inventions?!

Was he kidnapped twice from two different bad guys?!

The Baroness?!

Professor Ratigan?!

Or how the victim himself lost his blue birth hair-stripe?!

Or someone hurt his feelings?!

Like Basil the not-so-great mouse detective?!

The 15-year-old kid from Old Corona has been thru a lot.

For what the alchemist, scientist or inventor or all of the above efforts to do to help...

For Underland...

For Time's Castle...

Varian was taking things from everyone hard.

All right, let's go to the definite part where the poor alchemist was sobbing in a suffer.

For what Basil says to him pierces his heart.

You sir!! Are a pathetic reason to live as an inventor!! You have no future!!

You have no future...

Oh dear...

Varian goes to the unused guest bedroom.

Quirin had to check his son.

The alchemist was wavering.

Quirin was worried a bit.

Varian told him he was exhausted.

Quirin let him nap a little.

The alchemist lays down on a cot.

Quirin strokes his head, comforting him that everything will be okay.

When he left, Varian tries to sleep, hoping the brutal remark from Basil will go away.

After nearly half an hour, the alchemist jumps up in a stun.

Varian gasped: It's my fault...

The alchemist was going emotional.

Varian: It's entirely my fault...

The alchemist cloaked his face from his hands.

Varian had a nightmare.

Well...that's how he ran away to a different timeline.

After destroying his Chronosphere maker with a mace full of spikes...

And the spheres...

When Officer Nick Wilde discovered what made Varian disappeared himself...

The heroes searches for the alchemist.

And for just one Chronosphere...
