Toshiro's POV
Since the deaths of Zabuza and Haku we spent the rest of our time helping Tazuna finish the bridge, I buried their bodies while the other's were busy. I glance down at the bracelet Zabuza gave me whenever I think back on them, Haku's ANBU mask was shattered into hundreds of pieces which I gathered and slipped into my pouch. As if I'd let the memory of them fade....as long as I'm around there'll always be someone who knew their existence, they may of been S-ranked criminals and rouge ninja but they were good people. They were a lot like me which is probably the main reason I could relate to them so well and get along the way we did...I suppose its like a mutual understanding on an unspoken level that we all accepted.
I sigh to myself
"Maybe if things were different...." I thought
My thoughts are interrupted
"Toshiro?" Kakashi calls
I turn my head, he's alone. I look back to their graves.
He sighs and sits next to me
"Look....Toshiro I know you liked them and all but tormenting yourself by coming here all the time won't do any good" Kakashi stated worried
I shake my head
"It was more than that...we had a connection" I stated
"What kind of connection?" Kakashi asked
"Don't take this the wrong way..." I stated and turned to face him
"Alright" Kakashi states curiously
"In a way, he kind of reminded me of you.....you know minus being a blood thirsty S-ranked criminal and all" I stated
He sighs
"So he reminded you of me? should I take that as you like me?" Kakashi asked
"Well I don't hate you if that's what your asking" I stated
"Good to know" Kakashi stated
I smirked
"Honestly, I think if we'd met under different circumstances we could of been friends" I stated
I looked at the bracelet again
"Who knows..." Kakashi's voice trailed off
I lay back as the clouds drift by
"He really wasn't so bad ya know, he just grew up in the wrong environment is all" I stated and closed my eyes
Kakashi's POV
I knew I'd find her up here at Zabuza and Haku's graves, it seems the 3 of them forged a strong bond while she was "Kidnapped" by them. I actually wanted to talk to her about why he wanted her in the first place since she never did tell me after we got her back....though I suppose I shouldn't of expected her to. Toshiro's actually a very secretive and withdrawn person by nature, but the way she acts around Naruto and the other's its hard to say.
"One minute its like the world's gonna collapse and the next she's at peace, I honestly don't get her....Toshiro really is one strange girl" I thought
"Kakashi" Toshiro stated
"Yes?" I asked
She smiled
"Thanks for taking me back" She stated
I was slightly surprised
"Why wouldn't I-" I was about to say but she fell asleep
I smirked
