Your presence dances,
Through my mind.
Leaving me full of remorse.
A slave
To nostalgia.
Emotions,
Most pray to forget,
Although I am still sick,
With memories.
My mind races,
With your essence.
Leaving me thinking
Of the way
Things can, could, and should be.
Another sense of relief.
Something may wash
Ashore to the bay.
A mind in limbo
Still sleeping,
A heart lost with no repair.
Still breaking a soul
With no anchor.
Still searching.
You may only half walk away,
But you're still leaving.
