"Bro have you not heard. Devins girl y/n cheated on him" Devin heard once again for the millionth time that day. There were rumors his girlfriend of two years cheated on him. He didn't want to believe it but it was getting overwhelming to believe something. He finally made it back to his dorm and closed his door and laid down. He rubbed his head and grabbed his phone and called his girlfriend. "Hello?" She said. "Uhh could you come to my dorm?" He said   "Uh yeah. I'm on my way" she said. He hung up and laid down and rubbed his face. Then a faint knock was heard on his door. He got up and opened it. It was y/n. She smiled when he looked at her but he had no expression on his face so she knew something was wrong. "Baby what's wrong" she said as he closed the door behind her. "We need to talk" he said sitting on his bed. She sat next to him and looked at him. She furrowed her eyebrows and looked at him. "I don't know but there's a rumor going around that you cheated on me and I just need you to tell me" he said looking at the floor. She was speechless. "Dev no. I would NEVER do that to you" she said. "Are you sure. Cause everyone's saying you did" he said. "Are you not gonna believe me? Devin I love you so much I would never" she insisted. In reality.....she didn't cheat on him. She's never been a girl like that and she would never do that especially to him. "Look imma keep it short and simple, I love you but I think it's time to go our own ways" he said. Her eyes watered in seconds. "W-What?" She said. "I'm breaking up with you" he said. Her heart shattered as she looked at her now ex boyfriend. "Devin....." she cried. "Sorry. I still love you but I can't have that rumor ruin my basketball career" he said not wanting to cry. She got up and looked at him as she cried. She gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I know this won't help at all but, i promise you I didn't cheat Devin. Bye Dev" she cried as she walked out. She went to her dorm and once she closed that door she completely broke down. Why? Why her? She didn't cheat on the love of her life. "Devin why?!" She cried as she sat on the floor crying. She can't believe the man she thought she'll marry just broke her heart

Seven years later
Y/n has been living her best life. She graduated college with 4.0 gpa! She just got a great job offer as a trainer in Arizona that pays extremely well and that job is at the suns facility. She got up and showered and changed

She went into her kitchen and made herself coffee before going out the door of her two story house. She got in her car and played some music as she was excited to have a new job. She was dreading to see her ex but that's in the past. She 24 now. And she actually didn't cheat on him. Some girl made that dumb rumor and it completely just ruined Devins and y/n's relationship. When she finally made it there, she grabbed her bag and went inside. She walked down the hall and into the main office. "Hey y/n" coach Monty said coming her way to give her a hug. "Hey coach" she said giving him a warm smile. "I'll show you to your new office" he said as he walked her down a small hall and into a nice office
