The sun rose over Camelot and the lower town was full of happy voices.
"MERLIN! Are you up?" shouted Gaius who knew that a night in the tavern with Gwaine was not going to make him early for work! Gaius heard movement and sighed he was never going to learn. A bedraggled Merlin stepped slowly down the stairs hand to his head "i really don't feel good." moaned Merlin
"You do look a little pale." reasoned Gaius, "i'll prepare a remedy to liven you up!" Merlin lumped down on the chair and just on cue Arthur strode through the door with a face like thunder " Why are you such a IDIOT?" grumbled Arthur
"Well at least i'm not a prat!" replied Merlin cheekily. Arthur and Merlin laughed. "Come on merlin, i need you to polish my armour,repair my sword then sharpen my sword and wash the floor."grinned Arthur, somehow he was enjoying this. Merlin groaned and managed to get of his seat and went to Arthur's chambers. "Where are you going?" questioned Merlin
"council meeting." moaned Arthur, which somehow Merlin enjoyed hearing the news.
Merlin ambled to Arthur's quarter and got his bucket and began to wash the floor. Suddenly there was a loud crash, Merlin jumped out of his skin. A stern looking man marched into the chambers "You're coming with me, Emrys."
"No i won't! I'm staying right here!" said Merlin, voice trembling.
"Fine, i will have to drag you there!" replied the man coldly. Scared, Merlin's defences were down. A dirty fist hit him straight in the face. Merlin stumbled back. He could taste blood in his mouth. Another punch was let loose. This made Merlin fall to the ground with the extreme force. His head smacked the ground he let out a help of pain. The guy laughed wickedly; He was enjoying this. The last thing Merlin remembered was being man handled out of the room and bounded. "Hey you what do you think your doing with my servant?" shouted Arthur
"one more step and he gets it." the dirty man threatened with a knife to Merlin's throat
"Merlin!" shouted Arthur
"it is ok, i'll be fine!" said Merlin trying to convince Arthur and himself!
Arthur glimpsed at Merlin, who's nose was bleeding "i'll find you, I PROMISE!" he screamed. That was the last thing Merlin heard before darkness claimed him
