After her grandfather's passing, Hwang Ji-eun's family sends her to clear out his apartment at the Green Home apartment complex. However, she gets trapped there when an outbreak occurs, causing people to turn into terrifying monsters. She tries not...
I don't take time to breathe yet as I start to quickly pull a cabinet from a few feet away. I must have been making a bit of noise as I did this, because the next thing I know Eun-Hyuk is by my side, a worried look on his face as he sees me in a panic.
"Ji-eun, what's wrong?" He asks, before realizing that I'm alone.
"Where's Yi-Kyung?" He continues to ask.
I don't answer his questions. Only struggling to push the cabinet to block the basement door.
"Please, help me. Before it comes back!" I cry out. I couldn't move the cabinet on my own, especially when I was in pain.
Processing what I had just said, Eun-hyuk quickly helps to push the cabinet in front of the door. Once I thought that we were safe, I allow myself to take a breath. As I breathe, I feel a sharp pain in my side again. I then remember the glass in my torso.
"Eun-hyuk, you mentioned that you were studying at (name of med school that Eun-hyuk attends) University, right?" I ask, silently praying that he was actually as smart as he looked.
"Yeah, why?" He asks, still trying to figure out what was going on, and where Yi-Kyung was.
"Perfect. I need your help." I say, slowly lifting my jacket to reveal the glass sticking out of my skin.
Moments later, Eun-hyuk had rushed me towards the men's bathroom, seeing as it was the closest. "Wait here and lift your jacket and shirt. I'll be right back" He tells me before rushing back out of the restroom.
Slowly, I peel off the hoody, before lifting my shirt to just above the wound. I cringe as I see the bloodied glass sticking out. I already knew that I wouldn't have to worry about bleeding out to death, seeing as the wound wasn't that big. Also due to the fact that I produced so much blood each day anyways. But the adrenaline from running from the monster was now wearing off, and the pain of the wound itself was making me weak.
Eun-hyuk quickly returns with what appeared to be a medical kit. He pulls out white clothe before turning on the hot water and filling up the sink. When the sink is filled, he turns it off before turning to face me.
"Can you sit down on the counter? It'll be easy to work that way." He asks, moving aside to give me space.
I climb up to sit on the countertop, flinching as I felt the glass shift slightly. "Please hurry," I say, wanting this to be over.
"Blood I can handle, Wounds and pain... not so much." I continue to say as I watch Eun-hyuk pull out what appeared to be tweezers from the medical kit. He puts them to the side before retrieving the white cloth and soaking it in the sink of hot water.
"I have to clean the blood first so I can see." He tells me. I just nod my head, allowing him to step close to me.
Eun-hyuk is hesitant at first but eventually begins to clean the blood from around the wound on my side. Felling the pressure on my side, I cringe slightly, not liking the added pain.
He then rinses the tweezers in the hot water before once again looking at me. "This might hurt," He tells me. Before I can say anything, Eun-hyuk had already started to tug on the glass.
I cry out in pain at the suddenness but Eun-hyuk continues with the task at hand. I clenched my teeth together tightly, trying to fight through the pain. I finally feel a release of pressure. I watch as Eun-hyuk drops a piece of glass down on the countertop.

A few minutes go by and Eun-hyuk had wrapped my wound with some gauze that he found in the medkit. With my wound now covered, I pull my shirt back down in a daze. I was trying to process the recent events in my head. But the only thing that would flash through my mind was the spiderlike creature. I kept imagining the creature busting through the door. I didn't think I would be able to outrun it a second time.
