20. Final

(A/n: This one is gonna be a BiG chapter.)

Taehyung and Irene got married soon and together they flew to Korea. Irene was still afraid of Taecyeon, but she could at least try her best to protect hier husband. They lived in Korea for 10 months without any problems. Tae got much success in his company. She worked as a doctor in a hospital. Everything was going well until Y/n stood by her door.

Jungkook's pov

"Please, Y/n-ssi. Don't take Taehyung away from me! I beg you." Irene folded her hands infront of her and cried. Y/n clasped her folded hnds in hers and cried too. I kept on shifting my pupils from Y/n to Irene and back to Y/n. Perhaps what Irene did back then was right. Taecyeon might not have let him survive if Tae was in Korea.

"Jebal (Please) I love him very much. I swear I had tried hard not to fall for him. I tried to make my heart understand that one day he might leave me, but I failed. I am so sorry, Y/n. I don't think I will be able to live without him." Irene rambled. I knew she was being genuine. But what about y/n? What will she do? Was she going to choose Tae over me?

"Taehyung is not going anywhere. He will be with you, forever. I had loved him more than myself. I would always want the best for him. I only came here to confirm if he is alive and if he is happy with his life. He deserves to be happy and you are his happiness. His past wasn't good. I don't want him to go through that pain again. I know you are the best woman for him. Always stay with him, Irene-ssi." Y/n's words brought tears to my eyes.

"I know I was not the one for him. Patching up now will be a mistake. I will always feel guilty and Tae will always remember those days. Both of us will remain in the darkness. I have found my light," She looked at me. Jungkook! Stop blushing! I mentally scolded. "And Taehyungie also.... Let's try to move on, hmm?"

Irene nodded in agreement. "Thank you very much. I promise to be the best wife for him."

"I am sorry, where was I?" The girls got interrupted by Taehyung. All of us quickly wiped out the tears and acted as if nothing had happened.

"But why are you crying? Did I miss something?" Tae's curious eyes scanned Irene's face.

"I was cutting onions." She lied.

"But the counter is clean?"

"That's because I kept it aside pabo!" She playfully punched his stomach until I interrupted the love birds by clearing my throat.

Taehyung rubbed his nape in embarrassment, "Sorry, let us get into the talking?" He addressed Y/n.

"It's okay. I came here to thank you for accepting our deal. I didn't get a chance to meet you that day." She laughed. "You are almost a celebrity in our office."

Tae flashed his teeth, "Really? That's good to hear. Nice to meet you too, Y/n and Jungkook."

"We shall get going then?" Y/n stood up and we bowed. The Kim couples showed us the door.

"Have a safe flight." I wished my bestie. Taehyung hugged me while Irene did the same to Y/n. It felt like our high school times. I missed his embrace. I wish he had been with us but sometimes it is better to let go.

"You have got a nice girlfriend. Treasure her for the rest of your life." Tae whispered in my ears to which I giggled.

"Ofcourse I will. I will not let any sorrow touch her. She will be my queen." Tae smiled in reply.

Y/n's pov

I felt great after seeing Tae happy. It felt like a huge stone was lifted from my shoulders. I could finally breathe free. I would be lying if I say I will not miss him but I have a brighter future to look forward to with my beloved Kookie. I will try to get over all the past and focus on our relationship. I want to give us more time. I want to be an ideal girlfriend for him. He had done so much for me. I want to return to him everything with love. He won't get a chance to complain.
