Later that day, I rushed to the market where I could find my childhood friend, William. William was the man I could always talk to, because he had always been there for me.

William worked at his mother's fruit stand. It wasn't a very grand jod, but his mother split the profit so it was fair.

"Hey Lilliana!" he saw me, but quickly changed his expression after seeing how I was, "What's wrong?"

I quickly told him about everything that had happened, and at first he did not believe me. But as he began to realize just how upset I was, he began to accept the story.

"What about my father?" I said in tears, "He'll surely die without me there to care for him!"

William took me into his arms and hushed me.

"I'll take care of your father, and I'll make sure he's all right." he cooed, "But you have to be strong, Lilliana. Remember, it's not forever, and we'll be there when you return."

I weakly smiled at him trying to keep myself from bursting into tears.

"I think I'm going to miss you most of all, William." I said as I dried my eyes.

"Me too, Lilliana. Me too..." William replied almost crying himself.
