I cleared my throat as I leaned on the seat behind my back. We are now inside the airplane for our flight to the Philippines.
Kahit ngayon ay hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na lilisanin ko ang lugar na 'to para manirahang muli sa Pinas.
"Dale and Delvin," my father called making me frown. Dale ka diyan!
"Yes Pa?" It was my brother, Aaron.
"You guys can sleep first dahil matagal pa bago lumapag ang eroplano. Gigisingin ko na lang kayo by that time. "
Tumango lang ako sa sinabing iyon ni Papa saka nagsuot ng headphones, blocking the noise coming from my brother's iPad. I don't know if he's playing or what—basta ang sakit sa tenga ng ingay mula sa gadget niya!
I shuffled my playlist and closed my eyes, trying to calm down for I have been feeling nervous the moment my foot stepped inside the airplane. It wasn't that long before I rendered unconscious.
'AHHHHHH!'
I was catching my breath when I opened my eyes. I removed my headphones and glared at Aaron in front of me who's now grinning deviously.
"What the fuck did you do, Aaron!?" I shouted while he shrugged his shoulders.
"I just changed the song you were listening to because it was boring," he answered and smirked.
"A girl screaming is definitely not a song, Delvin!"
"Well it is for me."
"Edi sana ikaw 'yong nakinig bwesit ka!" nanggigigil na sigaw ko sa kanya. Hanggang ngayon ay ramdam ko pa rin sa tenga ko ang matinis na tinig ng babaeng sumisigaw kanina. Bwesit talaga!
"Na sa'yo kasi iyong headphones at saka..you were sleeping ate, I don't wanna wake you up just to borrow your headphones."
"Stupid excuses. You really are a terrible liar, Aaron," I said and he smirked. Bwesit talaga!
"Tumayo ka na nga jan ate Kez, o baka naman gusto mong bumiyahe pabalik ng America?"
I scoffed. Kung pwede lang sana.
"Umalis ka na nga sa harapan ko, Aaron. Naasiwa ako sa mukha mo, ang pangit!"
"Baka ikaw ang pangit!" He shot back.
"Duh ang ganda ko kaya.."
"Saan banda? Kuko? Eh kahit nga 'yang kuko mo pupwede ng taniman ng sibuyas dahil sa dumi."
"Aba! Hoy for your information hindi ito dumi na tulad ng iniisip mo, it was because of the cake I was eating earlier," I said.
"Stupid excuses," he quoted. Wtf? Did he just use my words against me?
That's unfair! Nasaan ang credits huh!?
"You used my words against me.." I trailed.
He nodded, looking so proud.
"Uhuh.."
"Tss walang originality," I uttered and rolled my eyes. As petty as I am, Aaron threw a rebuttal.
"At least hindi pangit."
"Pangit man ako sa iyong paningin, subukan mong manalamin at makikita mo ang leader namin."
"Bawiin mo iyon!" sigaw niya dahilan para mapangisi ako sa loob-loob. Aaron doesn't like being called ugly because he looks up to himself very highly.
"Ba't ko babawiin eh totoo naman?"
