~ 3rd Person POV ~
Ash was humming and getting himself ready for Ashley's birthday party as Paul was already "ready" to go
"you almost done?" Paul sighed
"almost" Ash giggled brushing his hair as Paul sighed lying down on Ash's bed

"hey Crystal i'll be taking a shower so if you don't mind watch Ashley and greet any guests if they arrive" Gary smiled at the maid as she nodded with a smile
"oh okay sounds good Sir" she smiled as Gary jogged up the stairs

"hey . . . d-did I take long?" Gary blinked seeing many guests
"a little yes, it's been almost half an hour since you went to shower" Crystal slightly giggled
"sorry, my hair wasn't cooperating well" Gary chuckled lightly with a sigh adjusting the sleeves of his maroon dress shirt as the maid smiled
"don't worry, it's running smoothly" Crystal smiled looking at the guests
"yeah I can see that, where's Ashley?" Gary blinked
"in the bouncy house" Crystal giggled as Gary grinned spotting the girl jumping with kids her age
"okay, good, I'll be back, i just need to greet the guest quickly" Gary smiled as the maid nodded as he left

"Paul don't you try to start fight Gary, don't you dare insult him, and don't you dare–" Ash lectured until Paul sighed and pressed a finger onto his lips
"calm down, I won't do a thing" Paul sighed as Ash nodded approvingly
"just as long as he doesn't provoke me" Paul added as Ash glared at him
"no" he scowled
"whatever anyways we're here" Paul sighed as he parked the car and the two got out
"how do I look?" Ash smiled adjusting his clothes and hair
"why do you care?" Paul muttered as Ash scowled
"hmph!" he stormed off
"okay okay, you look great" he muttered as Ash kept his pout
"thank you" he said still leaving Paul behind

As Ash went into the ceremony room he smiled spotting Gary who quickly spotted him and approached him with the sweet smile of his
"hey, how are you?" Gary smiled kissing Ash's hand
"good you?" Ash smiled lightly blushing as Paul then approached
"hm, hey" he muttered
"what the hell are you doing here?!?" Gary blurted out
"Ashley invited him, I thought she would've told you" Ash blinked as Gary turned to the bouncy house where Ashley was jumping in
"excuse me a moment" Gary smiled lightly gritting his teeth a bit

"Ashley" Gary said opening the entrance of the bouncy house
"yes daddy??" Ashley giggled jumping nonstop
"did you invite Paul??" Gary asked sternly 
"maybe" she giggled
"Ashley why would you invite him?? You know daddy doesn't like him" Gary scowled as Ashley stopped jumping and sat down in front of the entrance
"well you said I could invite anyone" she shrugged
"but sweetie I meant friends not my biggest enemy" Gary sighed
"I'm sorry daddy" she frowned as Gary sighed
"no I'm sorry, it is your party and I did tell you to invite who you'd like, anyways Mr. Ketchum is here if you'd like to greet him" Gary lightly smiled as the girl got out of the bouncy house, holding Gary's hand and followed Gary to Ash

"Mr. Ketchum!" Ashley giggled hugging Ash who smiled hugging her back
"hi sweetie, here's your present, i hope you like it" Ash smiled handing the girl his birthday bag with a unicorn in it
"thank you!" the girl giggled hugging Ash once more and went to Paul hugging him catching Paul off guard but gave the girl a slight pat on her back
"uh here, your dad might need to help you with it" Paul said referring to the big box
"ooo! I wonder what it is!" she giggled going on top of the box
"sweetie you can fall get down" Gary said as Ashley obeyed and Gary grabbed her hand
"uh go with your friends I'll take care of your presents" Gary muttered as Ashley nodded and gave Ash and Paul another smile skipped away
"what's in this box?" Gary said to Paul
"the present for your daughter smart ass" Paul muttered
"Paul let's not start this" Ash sighed
