Worlds Apart

Logan

Me, Scarlett, and Thomas run towards Emile where we heard him scream. We reach the throne room and see Nico being held by a tentacle and Emile laying on ground with tears running down his face, a tentacle caressing his body. Remus is standing a few feet away, watching the two.

"Enough," I yell, getting everyone's attention.

Remus lowers Nico, dropping him onto the floor. Thomas runs over to him worried as Scarlett goes over to Emile, making sure he is okay.

Remus looks at us, seeming to be annoyed, "Of course you all are here. Always having to ruin the fun. So, how did you break out?"

"Virgil," I answer, glaring at him.

"Of course...He should have stayed dead. No worries, me and Janus will just kill him again."

"That's going to be a problem," a familiar voice states from behind me. I turn around and see Virgil who looks injured but still standing. "Because Janus is dead."

Everyone and everything goes quiet, as if time froze. The words coming as a shock to everyone.

Then Emile cries, "Remy?"

Virgil looks at Emile, looking a little upset, "Patton is going to bring him back."

Emile starts to cry harder, Scarlett hugging him. Thomas and Nico go over to them, trying to get Emile to get up and leave before a fight breaks out.

Remus screams bloody murder, causing me to cover my ears along with everyone else except Scarlett and Virgil. She gets up and walks over to us, facing Remus. Virgil makes a fist and stands next to me, glaring at Remus. I realize that they are going to fight and immediately go over to the others.

"Thomas, go help Virgil and Scarlett," I state.

"What," Nico asks worried.

"Thomas is a werewolf he can fight. All I can do is see the dead. Emile is not able to fight and I don't know if you have any fighting experience," I explain.

Thomas kisses Nico on the cheek, "I'll be fine. You guys get Emile someplace safe. And Emile, we will bring Remy back to you alive. Patton will bring him back."

Emile looks at Thomas, tears running down his face, "Promise?"

Thomas nods, "Promise."

Nico and me get Emile up and start leaving the room. I hear the others start fighting and I hope that they all make it out okay and alive.

Sorry the chapter is short! I'm trying to build up to the others one and the fight. Also this book only has a few more chapters left! I can't believe it. I'm not ready for it to end.
