New Asgard

Tony's Pov

I sat with May for a while. She is hooked up to machines now. I have no power over what happens now. She gave the power to pull the plug to someone else and nobody will tell me who. I sit there crying apologizing for losing Peter. How could I be such an idiot? As I leave the hospital I feel broken. He was like a son to May and I killed him. Today we as the avengers held a ceremony for Peter we finally found the remains of the vulture pack but no Peter all that was left was a part of his suit so we give him a small funeral and a grave next to where may will be buried Bucky came from Wakanda to join us but he had an unreadable expression but then again he didn't know the kid. Afterwards we headed back to the compound we were hanging out when a spaceship landed in our backyard as Thor came and explained what happened. We helped them get to Norway and set up New Asgard. It allowed me to get my mind off of Peter. But I noticed Bucky, Wanda, and Loki acting weird but I didn't act on it.

Bucky's Pov

Today was Peter's "Funeral" . The kid was a good kid. I understand the Avengers were upset but I was angry that they treated him that way with the exception of Wanda who he said treated him like he belonged. Which she would understand because she was in the boat of fighting underage they did not question her. As we stood at the graveyard I let this run through my mind but not letting it show. When we got back to the compound i headed to my room i was given for when i visited and found Wanda following me in and shutting the door

"What do you want?" I asked a bit rough

"Your mind during the funeral was loud. I'm sorry, but you didn't know him." She said

"You're right I never met the kid here, but he is a good kid and didn't deserve their treatment of him." He responded she looked questioningly at him

"What do you mean 'is' He wasn't found." she replied

"Wanda I'm giving you permission to look at a certain memory in my head i promised not to tell but you must promise to not say a word to them. She looked at him warily

Then she nodded her head and went into his mind watching Shuri introduce him and the whole conversion before exiting and gasping, covering her mouth with her hand tears coming down "He is okay! I can't believe it... We pushed him away. They keep saying they should have done more but it made him feel controlled. Can you give him a message for me?" Bucky nodded slowly

She ran out of the room and returned with a small box. "I was going to bury it with him but I decided to keep it." She hands it to Bucky and opens it seeing a small work of glass that read 'to the broken that keep going' he looked confused then shut the box putting it away in his bag. "What does it mean?" Bucky asked

"Me and him are broken. We lost everything we loved but we continue to smile and continue to fight for others." Bucky smiled, being able to say he knows what that feels like. As they were helping build New Asgard he and Wanda took a break and were joking around smiling when Loki approached them he had heard of the boy who died fighting but was confused why the two were speaking of him. "Where are you close to the child?" Loki asked as the two spun around.

"I was but Bucky didn't know him." Wanda said smiling gently

"I'm the god of lies, mortals try better." Loki said smirking at them

With a sigh Bucky said to read his mind knowing Loki could

Loki went into his mind watching the interaction with Peter and to say he was angry was an understatement

"I will not tell a soul" about this" he said as the walked away from the construction to speak privately

"Thank you, I wouldn't want to betray his trust. He is a good kid." Bucky said

"We must protect the cinnamon roll. He is so innocent." Loki said as Wanda snorted getting weird looks from both of them

"His innocence was taken away when he was young. The kid has as much trauma as us." She said Loki and Bucky freeze at this Loki trying to lighten the mood "Team Trauma." causing Bucky and Wanda to laugh and walk back to the others.
