Wake up call

Ava screaming woke me from my beautiful dream of wedding gowns and bridesmaids, I reached over to wake Dela for him to attend to her but his spot was empty.

"Theo" I called opening my eyes but no answer came

Ava keep screaming so I got up from the bed and walked to Dela closet taking one of his oversize shirt I pulled it over my head and pull on one of his shorts.

Walking out of his room I went to Ava's room, there she was sitting up in her crib crying, screaming to be precise

"It's okay sweetheart mommy is here" I picked her up hushing she

She screamed even harder looking around the room

"Dada,dadada, dada" she cried

"Lets go find him baby, he is around here somewhere" I kissed her and took up a blanket and wipe her tears

Going downstairs with crying Ava in my arms I felt a cold breeze past over me, my head swelled, my blood ran cold and the hair on my skin stood up

What the fuck was that

Ava screamed for her father and I suddenly felt scared, I called Theo continuously on the top of my voice  walking in and out of each room but no reply came

"Aria!" Mommy shouted my name rushing up the flight of stairs to the second floor where Ava and I was leaving the gym

"Mommy do you see Theo?" I asked, Ava still crying in my hands

Ava stretch for her grandmother and Wendy took her

"Aria something is not right, Theo isn't upstairs?" She asked looking frightened and I suddenly felt scared

"No I don't see him, where could he be?" I asked

"Get my phone it's in my room hurry" she cried and I took off downstairs to her room to get her phone

Once I went back upstairs and hand her the phone she dial a number

"His phone is ringing without an answer" she said as she kiss Ava who was finally calming down on her cheek

"He use to go for a run with Wayne every morning let me call jade and see if he is there" she said dialing jade

"Mom why did you say something was not right?" I asked and I could feel my chest tightening up

This brought back memories to the day when I couldn't reach him and Destiny was controlling his mind

I don't like this feeling

"I don't know how to explain it sweetheart but I-"

"Hey jade is your brother there?" I heard her asked

"Oh that's what I thought, ok love sorry for waking you I'll call you back later, kiss Jayden for me" mom told jade before hanging up

"Is he there?" I asked a little impatiently

"No he and Wayne went for a run jade said" mom told me

"You'll see daddy soon sweetheart he went running with uncle Wayne" she told Ava after kissing her

"Let grandma make you breakfast" she added heading down the stairs

I watched them as they went downstairs and disappear into the main kitchen.

My chest still felt tight and the hair on my skin was still standing up but I couldn't tell why.

I went upstairs to the third floor where Theo room was and I stripped the bed and make it up with fresh sheets before going to take a shower.

Soon after I finish showering I wrapped myself with a towel and leave the bathroom, there on the bed sat Theo in a white jog suit soaked with blood

"Babe why is there blood on your clothes? T what have you done?" I asked going to sit beside him

He didn't answer he just look at me sadly

I reached for him and he disappeared

What the fuck

I screamed and  my head swelled once more I could feel the hair on my skin standing again.

I ran to the dresser and took my phone up dialing Theo number, it rang straight to voicemail six times.

I ran to my previous closet and throw on a underwear, shorts and a blouse, pushing my foot in a slippers I ran downstairs to find mom whole time crying and I didn't realize

"Mom! Mom! Theo he was here he was upstairs just now-" the ringing of mom phone cuts me off

"Hello" she answered

"Yes this is she" I heard her said

"Talk nuh who is this?" She asked impatiently

She was silent listening to whoever was on the phone before she dropped the phone and screamed

"Noooooo nooooo nooo noooooooo oh God nooooo" she cried startling Ava and she started crying again from where she sat in her high chair

"Mom what is it, who was that, mom talk to mi nuh yuh a scare mi" I said wiping my eyes

Mom kept crying before she looked at me then at Ava and hugged me tightly

"Ariaaaaaa ariaaaaa"

"Theo someone call saying he and Wayne had been shot" she cried

I pulled away from her shaking my head

"Mommy nothing nuh go so, mi just si him upstairs-"

Mommy cried harder after I said that

"If you si him that mean him life leave his body, dat mean him-"

"Mommy stop it don't say that Theo is ok I know he is okay, he have to be ok" I said dialing his number again while mom rushed up the stairs

Ava was still crying but I couldn't focus on her right now. Theo phone ring to voicemail I was about to dial it again when  I saw a call coming in from jade

"Jade you hear from Wayne and Theo mom a-"

"Aria"

"Wayne and Theo was shot they are at the hospital and I was told it was really bad, I just got the call" jade cried uncontrollably while telling me

I cut the call on jade and was rushing upstairs for a car key when I saw mom running down the stairs still crying

"Come we are going to the hospital" she cried taking her phone up from where it fell and running to the door

I picked Ava up from her chair and rushed out behind mom

"Mom let me drive your in no condition to drive" I told her After strapping Ava in her carseat in mom's car

Mom handed me the key and went around the passenger side of the car dialing someone on her phone.

I still couldn't process what they told me, my heart raced I was trembling a bit but no tears came

Theo is not dead

I don't believe that

If he was dead I would feel it right

Theo wouldn't just die leave us like that

He has to be ok

He better be ok.
