"I still don't know your name" Jungkook says as both of them sit down on a chair near the bar
"Jisoo. Kim Jisoo"
Jungkook inspects her like an eagle. She looks nervous but she is trying to hide it, she is trying to look confident but she is scared. He is wondering how a girl as naive as her landed in such a compromising situation
"I am Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook"
"Nice to meet you. I can't thank you enough for what you did today" Jisoo replies
"It's quite late. I am not sure if it'll be a good idea for you to look for a hotel alone. I don't trust them enough to leave you alone" he says
Jisoo is at awe at the fact that a complete stranger is helping her so much
"I know it's bothersome but I really have nowhere to go and I don't know anyone here" Jisoo says
"Where is your family? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I am just curious as to how you landed in Paris" he says
"I don't have anyone except for a friend. No family, nothing. It's just me" Jisoo replies
Jungkook suddenly regrets questioning her like that
"I am so sorry"
"It's fine. I am doing great. I don't need anyone anyways"
"Ummm, this might sound wrong but I may have a place for you. Hotels aren't trustworthy specially the cheap ones. And seeing that you're a foreigner here, they might charge you extra in every chance they get. I have an apartment 10 minutes from here. You can stay there till you get a job" he says
Jisoo suddenly becomes extremely suspicious.
"Oh so this is what it was all about? To land me in your apartment? And to think, I started admiring you for being so kind. Who am I kidding? But guess what? I am not that kind of girl who spends the night with random strangers to get a place to stay" Jisoo says all in one breath
Jungkook gets amazed at her words. This girl seemed like naive but she can be feisty too. He smirks hearing her
"I didn't mean it like that. You can stay in the guest room. You won't see me much. I am rarely home. So till you get a job, I thought it'll be a good idea but obviously if you don't feel comfortable, I don't force you" Jungkook says
"How much do I have to pay?" Jisoo asks
"I don't want anything from you" Jungkook says
Jisoo becomes more suspicious at this and Jungkook immediately catches onto it
"Umm, you can cook for me. I mostly order from outside so if you can cook then I'll consider it a good deal" he replies trying to convince Jisoo
"Where is your family?" Jisoo interrogates
"They are here, in Paris. They have other own house. I visit them a lot so that's another reason for you to be assured that you won't see me much in my apartment" he says
Jisoo starts thinking "Even a normal hotel is a gonna cost a lot. But if I stays in his apartment, she'll get free food and a place to live. It is too good to be true but if things go south, I have my pepper spray and knife with me."
"Okay, I'll cook for you when you want me to. But I have a condition. I'll pay the rent when I make some money. I don't want free favours from strangers" Jisoo says
Jungkook smiles "Whatever you want" he says
"Can we go now? I am kind of tired" Jisoo says
"Sure" Jungkook smiles and leads her to his car
