"Why are you both here?" He asks.
"I need to see dad, where is he?"
"You don't know?" He turns his head in question. "Dads in the hospital, he was shot during the drop."
"He's okay though right?" He nods and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Can I talk to you in private please?" He asks and I look over at Dina who grabs Dash and goes to the living room. And we go into dads office.
"Dad needs you in California for him."
"What, why me? I have shit to do here."
"Yeah? Like what? Kill Luca?" I give him a confused look. "I know everything."
"Well then, you know I have no choice."
"You do have a choice Reign, think about what you're doing to us, your brothers before you kill him."
"That's the whole point Rage. I'm doing it for you guys."
"So you're killing Luca for us?"
I hold my temples. "No, but I have to do this so you guys won't get hurt."
"I would rather us get hurt than to see him dead."
"And I would rather see him dead than seeing you guys hurt."
"Why? Reign, why are you really doing this? We've been through this before, so I don't understand why you would go through this again. Is this some kind of revenge for what happened with Dylan?" I push him.
"Don't ever in your fucking life mention his name. This has nothing to do with him."
"You're still not over that?" He scoffs.
"Fuck you."
"You don't get it do you? He was a predator who preyed on my underage sister."
"He was 19, Rage."
"And you just turned 15! What the fuck is not getting through your head? I get that dad shouldn't have made you kill him but put yourself in his shoes. Imagine hearing your 15 year old daughter slept with practically a grown man."
"He invaded my privacy. It had nothing to do with him."
"It did Reign, Dylan was bragging to everyone. He only acted like he cared in the end because he knew death was coming."
"No, he wouldn't have done that." I shake my head not believing him.
"Why do you think he never said I love you back?" I look down and remember that he only gave me a smile when I told him that.
"I loved him." I break down.
"I know but you'll love again Reign, and I have a feeling I know who that person is." He says hugging me.
I don't know what to feel, I can't just stop the mission because I have slight feelings for Luca. But he made me feel things that I haven't felt before.
