I'm confident that students will vote for me. I will defeat that Jaklen. Kung hindi niyo na naitatanong, siya ay kalaban ko din sa pagiging pinakamatalino. I hate him because he'd always defeated me when we were in Academic competitions, but sometimes I won. Kung hindi lang talaga nagtranfer yang Jaklen dito sa school, ako palagi ang una. Yes, I admitted that I was too selfish for this, ayaw kong may nakakalamang sa'kin.

This is the day that I was preparing for. I feel a little bit nervous and excited at the same time. I went to the restroom and washed my face. I still remember what Attorney Hayden's said yesterday. I don't know what would I decide? I want to enjoy my high school life, but I'm not ready for that thing.

"Graycia, Goodluck," Queenie said. "if ever you lose, just accept it, okay?"

"Don't say that Queenie, I'm pretty sure that I will be the Student Council President again" I smiled widely at her. She just shrugged her shoulder.

"I will vote Jaklen for president how about you?"

"Same!"

"Me hmmm I will vote Graycia"

"Jaklen for me!"

"I vote Graycia, porket pogi iboboto na?"

"Hoy matalino din kaya yon! Galing niyang mag speech tapos ang ganda pa ng accent niya!"

"Magaling lang magspeech pero wala pa naman satin napapatunayan yun"

"Whatever, I still vote Jaklen, my dear"

They're just like buzzing bees. I'm glad that some of them are still loyal to me. My phone was ringing so I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Graycia? Kumusta ka? Sorry hindi pa ko makakauwi ngayon binabantayan ko pa kase yung mom mo, unstable parin siya at hindi ko alam kung kelan siya magigising"

"Okay lang ako Manang, bantayan niyong mabuti si Mom, Miss ko na siya."

"Oh, siya sige na busy kapa ata sa schoolwork mo" She hugged up.

Next day.

I woke up early this morning. I want to know what is the result of the votings yesterday. I'm too confident right now and I'm not worried if ever I lose because it will never happen. My lips smiled widely and I greeted all students I see. But when I saw Jaklen smiling at me, my smile immediately vanished.

"Goodmorning Graycia! Good luck to us. " I can hear his Australian accent.

"I've already told you that I don't need your good lucks! "

"Sorry." I don't know how he maintains himself smiling, hindi ba siya nangangalay? Halos mapunit labi niya.

Time was so fast. We were here inside the gymnasium and there was a teacher in front of the stage. Ito na ang hinihintay ko, ang malaman ang result. Isa-isang iniisa ng mga teachers ang mga nahalal bilang mga Student Councils.

"And for our new Vice President is Miss Charmaine Sarmiento!" I can't hear anything except the loud claps of the students.

"And for our new Student Council President is..."

THIS IS IT! I'm smiling showing my white teeth.

"Jaklen Treyton!"

My smile slowly faded. Can I teleport? Can I? I can see him smiling widely in front of the stage while holding the microphone. Nag-speech siya sa unahan with his Australian accent. Napapahiya kong tumingin sa katabi kong si Quennie but she just tapped my shoulder and said that 'it's okay. Jaklen Treyton is the new owner of my position.

I can't control myself so I stand up and I walk fast toward Jaklen. I can hear Quennie calling my name but I continue walking and pretending like I a deaf. Umakyat ako sa taas ng stage. I saw their curious face with 'why-the-hell-I'm-here-look'. Inagaw ko ang microphone na hawak ni Jaklen.

"Anong klaseng pandayara ang ginawa mo ha? Gagawin mo talaga ang lahat para manalo ka? Puro paporma at papogi lang naman ang alam mo. Don't deny it Jaklen Treyton!"

"What are you talking about Graycia? Miss Ziegler papahiyain mo na naman ba ako? What's your problem with me huh? because I'm the new Student Council President huh? And you lost the position that you had before? Why don't you just accept it?"

I'm speechless, I felt a little bit guilty. Ilang beses kona siyang pinahiya. I don't know what I'm going to say, this is the worst embarrassing moment that I had. Tinignan ko ang mga tao at nagsimula silang magbulungan. I just run fast then far away from all of them.
