E X P E C T

Because I had never had someone to assume an assist from.
I will never overlook the way you lace our fingers together when you see how terrified I've become in the face of anything new.
I will always be hyper aware.
Like those times you always pull our opposite hips together, knowing and understanding how and when I tremble from the hard voices of others.
I have never expected someone to help me when my chest is heaving too fast and I can't seem to relax.
But you have spoiled me rotten, and now you are the only presence I will ever expect.
