Chapter 23: Insatiable

At Scott's, Noshiko comes over and says, "Do you recognize me, hmm?" Kira then comes in and says, "Stop." Stiles says, "It's okay. I'm the one who asked her to come." Kira says, "You're the one who's going to get stabbed with a swords. Mom, don't do this to him." Noshiko says, "It's already done." The Oni show up and check Stiles and he's the real Stiles." Stiles says, "So I'm really me?" Noshiko says, "More you than the Nogitsune." Stiles says, "Can the Oni find him?" Noshiko says, "Tomorrow night. It's too close to dawn now." Stiles says, "Can they kill him?" Noshiko says, "It depends on how strong he is." Liv says, "What about Lydia? Why would he take her?" Noshiko says, "He would only take her for an advantage." Liv says, "You mean her power?" Noshiko nods and says, "The power of a Banshee." Later, Liv and Stiles go to the sheriff station and Stiles says, "In your coffee cup. You always drop them in your empty cup." Their dad looks at Liv and Liv nods to say that this is the real Stiles. Their dad drops his coat and gives Stiles a big hug. Their dad says, "Not yet." Their dad says, "We got an APB out on Lydia's car. Every unit on the road is looking for her." Liv says, "Isn't there anything else that we could do?" Their dad says, "At this hour? No, not really." Stiles says, "He took her for a reason, Dad. Look, if we can figure out the why, then we'll figure out the where." Their dad says, "Okay. What would a Nogitsune need with a Banshee?" Stiles says, "I don't know, Lydia's pretty good at finding dead bodies. Maybe he needs to find a body?" Their dad looks at Liv and says, "Liv, you know more about this than all of us. You said you got the who story from Noshiko says, "Yeah, but that happened during World War II. Like 70 years ago." Stiles says, "Wait. What did you say?" Liv says, "Noshiko told me about the internment camp..." Stiles says, "No, before that. You said, the whole story." Liv says, "Yeah. What is it?" Stiles says, "There's a girl at Eichen House. Her name's Meredith. I think she might be able to help." Later, Parrish walks in says, "Sheriff, Meredith Walker." Their dad says, "She's still there?" Parrish says, "Yeah, but they moved her to the Closed Unit." Liv says, "Why?" Parrish says, "She wouldn't stop screaming." 

The next day, Liv's at school trying to be normal and then she finds Meredith at school and calls Scott. Scott says, "Hey, what's up." Liv says, "She's here. In Coach's class and you guys need to get here right now too. Like, right now." Later, Liv sees the orderlies from Eichen House and goes to Coach. Liv says, "Coach. You can't let them take her back. It's hard to explain, but if you let her go back then really really bad things are going to happen to Lydia, to Scott and Stiles and maybe everyone, including you. So please, don't let them take her." Coach looks at her weird and says, "Um, okay?" Later, they find Meredith and Coach says, "Well? Get her outta here." They get into the Jeep and Liv's in the back with Meredith. The boys turn around and face Meredith and Stiles says, "Okay. Where's Lydia?" Meredith says, "Who's Lydia?" Liv sighs and shakes her head. They then arrive at Scott's and see that his dad is here. Scott says, "What are you doing here?" His dad says, "I could ask you the same thing." Stiles says, "Free period. We're doing a group study." His dad says, "Who's she?" Stiles wraps his arm around Meredith and says, "She's my girlfriend." Meredith looks at him weird and says, "Your not my type." Stiles says, "Well, obviously we have a lot to talk about. We should maybe take this upstairs." Meredith looks at Isaac and says, "He's my type." Liv's holding in her laugh and Stiles says, "Okay. Isaac, you can come too." Then the four of them go upstairs to Scott's room. Meredith says, "Lydia? You mean the red-haired girl." Stiles says, "Yes! Yes! Good. Progress. Now, all you got to do is tell us where she is." Meredith says, "Okay. Okay. If she tells me." Isaac says, "If she tells you? Can you ask her?" Meredith says, "I already did." Liv says, "Perfect, what did she say?" Meredith says, "She said she doesn't want to be found." Stiles says, "That's good too." Isaac says, "Okay." Liv, Stiles, and Isaac go to Scott's bathroom to talk privately. Isaac whispers, "I'm just saying." Liv whispers, "Isaac, We're not going to torture her." Isaac whispers, "I meant scare her." Stiles whispers, "We're bot going to psychologically torture her either." Isaac whispers, "How about this? You said she hear things, right?" Stiles whispers, "Yeah?" Isaac whispers, "Doesn't that mean she's like Lydia? A Banshee?" Then they walk back over to Meredith and Stiles says, "Okay, just try to focus on the sounds around you. What you're hearing. Just focus on the silence." Isaac says, "Listen to the silence." Stiles says, "Focusing on the silence." Isaac says, "Listening, to the..." Stiles says, "Okay, will you just let me handle this, Isaac. Please? I just... I have more experience with Banshees." Isaac says, "Yeah and mental patients." Meredith says, "Isn't anyone going to get that?" Liv softly says, "Get what?" Meredith says, "The phone." Liv says, "What phone?" Isaac and Meredith point to Liv's phone and Isaac says, "The phone." Liv says, "Oh, the phone. My phone? Yes. Hello. Yes, she's actually sitting right here. It's for you." Meredith says, "They say Coup de foudre." Stiles says, "Coup de what? What is that Spanish?" Liv realizes and says, "It's French. I know where Lydia is." Later in the Jeep, Liv's in the back with Isaac. Isaac says, "All right, I'll say it. You look like you're dying. Your pale, then and you look like you're getting worse. And we're all sitting here thinking it. When we find the other you, is he gonna look like he's getting better?" Liv says, "What happens if he gets hurt?" Stiles says, "You mean if he dies, do I die? I don't care. Just so long as no one else dies because of me. I remember everything I did. I remember pushing that sword into your stomach Scott. Stiles through the rearview mirror and says, "Liv, I remember hearing your bones break when I twist your arm and knocked you out." Liv says, "It wasn't you." Stiles says, "Yeah, but I remember it. You guys gotta promise me. You can't let anyone else get hurt because of me." Everybody then arrives and Scott says, "We've done this before, guys. A couple of weeks we were standing around just like this and we saved Malia, remember? That was a total stranger. This is Lydia." Liv says, "I came here to save my brother and best friend." Allison says, "I'm here to save my best friend also." Scott nods and says, "I came to save mine too." Isaac says, "I just didn't feel like doing any homework." Liv softly smiles and they all walk in and Scott and Stiles go find Lydia, while Liv, Kira, Allison, and Isaac stay to fight. Noshiko says, "Kira turn around and go home. Take your friends with you." Kira says, "I can't. When I looked at the game I realized who I was actually playing. You." Liv gets her knives out and says, "Call them off." Noshiko says, "You think you can take him alive? You think you can save him?" Kira says, "What if we can?" Noshiko says, "I tried something like that 70 years ago. Your friend and brother is gone." Kira says, "Are you sure? Or if Stiles doesn't have to die. Maybe Rhys didn't have to die either?" Noshiko says, "I see I'm no longer the Fox now, Kira. You are, but the Nogitsune is still my demon to bury." Then the Oni disappear and Noshiko opens her palm to see a dead firefly. Kira says, "Mom?" Allison says, "What is that?" Liv says, "What does that mean?" Void Stiles appears and says, "It means there's been a change in ownership. Now they belong to me." Liv gets ready to fight. Liv's fighting the Oni. Liv grabs one of their swords to fight them off. Liv's losing to an Oni, Liv spits out blood and as the Oni is about to kill her, Allison saves her, but then gets stabbed through the stomach. Liv cries, "Allison!" Scott then comes in and catch's Allison in his lap. Liv watch's with tears as Allison takes her last breath.
