Toby was 15 when the accident happened. When the team/group was fighting the aliens in Mexico City he was hurt and left for dead. His family had sadly passed away. On his death bed though, Rang found him and nursed him back to health but not without 'fixing' a few things about the boy. He gave him a false ability that hurt him every time he used it. He gree to dispise the main group, specially the sinister five with Rang's influence.
