37: Burden

Time is infinite, continuous
Constricting and miserable,
Never seen nor heard, so ambiguous
Galaxies' enrobed in a thick bubble

They've reached the stars
While many dwell in dirt
They've made flying cars
While so many still hurt

Must we search for a few,
And ignore all the rest
For a future that's untrue,
Putting the earth to the test

How do we believe in a god
When nothing is certain
Never any peace, just nod
For change might be a burden

I pray for the light,
That's constantly disappearing
It's surely not alright
But hope is worth keeping
