"N-" I start to say that I'm not his girlfriend, but Eun-hyuk quickly grabs my hand and interrupts me.

"Yes, she's my girlfriend." Eun-hyuk lies. I look at him in disbelief now, unable to process why he would say I was his girlfriend. After all, we barely knew much besides each other's names, how could he claim that we were dating.

Eun-yoo's eyes watched us closely with a confused look. She too seeming shocked by Eun-hyuk's 'confession'.

"Wait really?" She asks, before composing herself once more and returning to her hard demeanor.

"Yeah, Ji-Eun here took a few classes with me at (name of the med school that Eun-hyuk attends). She switched majors though so I don't get to see her often." Eun-hyuk continues to lie, giving me a sideways glance as he slightly tugs my arm, motioning for me to make an excuse.

"U-Uhm, yeah... I'm Hwang Ji-Eun. Eun-hyuk's girlfriend." I studdered out, barely able to believe the lie myself.

"Hmm. what did you study, and what's your major now? My brother is a nerd, surely he has you lying for something." Eun-yoo asked, it was clearly obvious that she didn't believe either of us now.

"Uhm, she studied-" Eun-hyuk says before I cut him off.

"I did a study on a very rare illness where the patient at hand has an overproduced number of blood cells and platelets in their body, therefore the body must regularly release some of it or it'll force its way out, which can cause discomfort for the patient and especially other around them," I say, watching as both siblings now look at me in confusion as to what I was saying.

"It's a huge inconvenience to the patient, as there's not much information on the illness and it is currently incurable. It was too hard to learn, so I switched majors to photography and art." I finish off, hoping that my story was believable enough.

**** I don't know, lmao. I wanted her to explain her own illness but make it sound so sciency so that Eun-yoo would believe that Ji-eun really was Eun-hyuk's Girlfriend that he met through school.*****

Looking at Eun-yoo, she now wore a confused look before looking to her brother. "I guess you were telling the truth, she seems nerdy just like you." The girl says before turning and walking away.

Now being left alone in the dim hallway, I turned to look at Eun-hyuk, he still seemed to be processing what I had told his sister.

"Why did you say I was your girlfriend?" I ask, bending down to pick up the bloodied cloth from, the ground.

"I had to distract her from this." He responds, plucking the cloth from my hand. He then takes my other hand, pulling me down the hallway.

Blushing, I allow him to pull me towards the men's bathroom where he quickly checks all of the stalls before locking the main door.

"Why are we here?" I ask, watching as he rinses the bloodied cloth in the sink.

"Go into the stall and give me your shirt. There's blood on it. We don't want the other residents to see it and panic." He tells me, motioning to one of the bathroom stalls.

Looking down at my sleeve, I see that there is indeed a big, very noticeable blood stain there. Rushing into a stall, I lock the door before pulling off my shirt. "Here," I say, tossing the shirt over the stall.

A moment later, I hear the sink running once more.

"So, are you going to tell me what happened? Or should I assume that you're infected?" Eun-hyuk asks.

I release a sigh, knowing I had no other option. Turning around, I lean my back against the stall door before I speak.

"That lie I told, about the study with the patient." I start, trying to find a proper way to tell him that something medically impossible was actually happening with me. It has always happened.

"It's only partially a lie," I admit, just as the sink turns off, leaving a strange silence to now echo through the bathroom.
