Two months later

A lot has changed in the past two months. Y/N is now working at Roc Nation and is loving it; getting to do what she loves the most which is making music and helping others with theirs

Normani finally finished school and is about to graduate. She still hasn't heard from her parents but her sisters have reunited with her at their grandmother's house

Something deep inside wants her parents to be at her graduation but knowing their relationship right now, she knows it's not going to happen which made her slightly upset. Nevertheless she still has her friends from church

Speaking of church, Normani decided to go with her sisters this Sunday which is actually tomorrow.

As it relates to her relationship with Y/N they've been going on lunch dates but that's pretty much it seeing as Y/N is now busy with the record label and Normani with school. When Y/N gets home Normani is either asleep or at her grandmother's and when Normani gets home Y/N just either fast asleep or at work not to mention leaving home early in the mornings for work

"Hey its me...again. I just wanted to know if you're alright, you know, since you stood me up on our lunch date today" Normani said into her phone

"Call me when you can...okay bye" she added before ending the voice mail

"Still no answer?" Ms. Barbara asked making Normani sigh and shake her head

"Its been a long day, why don't you get some rest. If she stops by I'll let you know"

Normani nodded and gave the older woman a hug before going up to her room.

The Next Day

Normani rolled over after turning off her alarm and bumped into a warm body

"Get off my bed" she mumbled still in her sleeping state

"Wow, and I came here to see you after so long" Y/N answered as she playfully got up

"No!" Normani yelled and pulled Y/N down on top of her, hugging her like it was the end of the world

"I was worried about you" the younger girl confessed

"I know and I'm sorry I should've called" Y/N apologized as she hugged the dark-skinned girl back

Today is the day she took for herself to spend time with Normani and it was special...

Normani finally opened her eyes and was shocked at the state of her room. The room was covered in floating pink and purple balloons, some hearts and some regular balloons along with a big sign on the wall across from her bed

"What is all of this?" Normani asked as she looked back at Y/N who held a huge smile on her face

"Read the sign" was all she replied making the younger girl furrow her eyebrows before turning to read the sign

"Will you be my...girlfriend" she read and then it hit her what she just said "Your asking me to..."

"I am" Y/N grinned "So will you?"

"Of course, I'll be your girlfriend!" Normani squealed and straddled the older girl before kissing her

After their passionste make out session, Normani went ahead and got ready to leave for church with her sisters

"Where are we going?" Y/N asked, cutting her conversation short with Ms. Barbara when she saw the Hamilton girls coming down the stairs fully dressed

"To church" Arielle answered

"Your welcomed to join us" Normani said as she walked over to her now girlfriend

Y/N had a gut feeling that something was about to happen so she decided to tag along. Y/N drove them to the church and when they got inside Normani sat with Y/N at the back not wanting to leave her girlfriend alone

From where she was seated she could see Ryan sitting beside her mother up in the first row. Normani rolled her eyes at the sight

The moderator spoke into the microphone that today was the Hamilton's anniversary and it hit Normani that she completely forgot about it

She was happy her parents were still together after all these years and she silently prayed that her current relationship will be like that

Up at the front, Ryan glared at the married leaders of the church, more specifically Andrea as she kissed Derrick

Just the other night, Derrick and Ryan got in an argument as a result of her getting jealous whenever she sees the older guy spending time with his wife and this right here was what made the rope snap

"I have a presentation for the lovely couple" Ryan announced as she stood up. A big fake smile on her face

The church looked at her especially the twins as they were confused as to what the girl was up to

Ryan ignored the stares and made her way up to the stage. With the aid of the head of the media production, she was able to connect her phone to the monitor.

She searched her phone before pulling up two specific videos; the first one being Normani and Y/N kissing in the sea when they were skinny dipping

The church gasped and looked around at Normani who was shocked at being called out like this

"Oops, my bad...this is the one" Ryan said before looking for the other video

"Okay...your trying to embarrass me but you were the one trying to compete against me to be with Y/N" Normani said interupting her which also made the church gasp at the information

"I only did that because I was under a lot of stress" Ryan fake cried

"This man right here has been taking advantage of me for months now!" She added before playing the video

This video displayed The pastor and Ryan in bed, as they were in the middle of raw and kinky sex

The church gasped and started murmuring under their breaths amongst each other. Andrea stepped away from her husband with hurt evident on her face

"Yes he's a child molestor!" Ryan continued

"Your lying! You said it yourself your with him just for the pleasure of having a sugar daddy" Ashley spilled remembering when she overheard Ryan having a conversation on the phone

"Woah" the church chorused

The people started getting restless and soon they started leaving, each of them giving Normani a disappointing and or scornful looks

"So you disown me just to be with a girl that could be your daughter and you accuse me sinning!? Really? The Pastor of the Holy church of God. I guess we're both sinners then" Normani vented loudly as she stood up

The persons that stayed behind in the church looked between the family members curiously. They found this rather interesting

Normani grabbed Y/N's hand and pulled her out of the church. She ignored the stares as she angrily made her way to the car she arrived in to head home
